We looked at 217,206 Gram negative isolates from patients from 2013-2022. Of these, a lot were E. coli, a lot were from the urine. But we had hundreds of resistant E. coli and Kleb pneumo, hundreds of citrobacter, enterobacter, and kleb aerogenes, and thousands of Steno isolates

Unfortunately, his focus on peace in the Middle East still has not come to fruition. I’m reading his analysis from the 80s and it could almost have been written this year. I pray for his soul, but also for the thousands of lives threatened every day by violence

He wrote about a missionary who said compassion is easy. One simply has to “love the person in front of you.” In residency and fellowship, I have tried to uphold that even with the most challenging situations. Everyone must be respected and it’s our job now in the present to do that.
