@sverigesriksdag.bsky.social har beslutat två gånger (1999, 2016) att Östasiatiska museet och Medelhavsmuseet ska existera som separata museer. Det är inte upp till SMVK eller Fastighetsverket att bedriva en egen museipolitik gentemot regeringen i strid med riksdagsbeslut.

Jag kommenterar nedläggningshotet mot Östasiatiska i SVT Kulturnyheterna. Regeringen måste agera mot Statens fastighetsverk så att museerna kan bedriva sin verksamhet i sina unika lokaler. Det finns det riksdagsbeslut på. Första inslaget i programmet. www.svtplay.se/video/KXvvxQ...

Have been pointing a lot of people recently to Carter Eckert's biography of Park Chung-hee to help contextualize the current moment in SK politics, and learned this morning that he's just passed away. An incredibly generous person and brilliant scholar. May his memory be a blessing.
