We used to wait up to 14 days for delivery. In fact, most mail-order Terms and Conditions required us to allow up to 28 days. Amazon Belgium are saying they're going to start offering us same-day delivery. Who asked for that? If I want same-day, isn't that what my local shops are for?

This needs to continue. The assault on Kiev looks like Russia is trying to change the Ukrainian's minds. It reminds me of how the RAF's attacks on Berlin changed the Luftwaffe's strategy from destroying the RAF's airfields to attacking London and other cities.

Ocean liners could outpace U boats, so they didn't hang about. Imagine the losses if one of these troopships gets sunk? There weren't many fortunately, but every time I see mention of people leaving Canada or the US to head across the Atlantic, I get a shiver.

Yes the US still imports from the rest of the world & it likely wouldn't mitigate US cost of living increases. Rather, why not invest in refineries & increase exports; after all the war might still be going 10 years from now. But I think we all know what simpleton solution Trump will choose.

Early 1966 I think. The Jimi Hendrix Experience was created later in '66, in London. Animals bassist Chas Chandler persuaded Jimi to leave New York, helped him recruit the band members & launch it in the UK. So any backing work: Curtis Knight, Little Richard, Isleys, Ronnettes, etc was from before.
