I stayed up past midnight hate watching the unlikable Aces get beat in 3 by the real deal Valkyries 💜. I thought I was done with the WNBA for the season. It now looks like I will hate watch the Finals pulling for the Valks to beat the Dream. Please don’t interview DeQuiter Bonner or I may not watch.

Great advice! Your post made me think the Will Rogers’ saying “ I’m not a member of any organized political party….im a Democrat”. We Dems tend to be a circular firing squad too often. Many times “friendly fire” does more damage than our opponents when it comes to messaging and unity.

Growing up in Arkansas in the 1950s and 60s, I identified as a Republican for the same but opposite reason. Many of the major state Democrats were openly racists. When the CRA of 1964 was passed, I switched to identifying as a Dem, been one since. I’m a long time Blue dot in a Red South.

When I look at “then and now” photos of Bezos and Musk, I see men who are obviously using PEDs for cosmetic reasons. Literally, they have made themselves into charactures of everything wrong with 21st century capitalism: vain, self important, narcissistic, ….

I read both DC & Marvel as a child. Always felt Marvel was more real. I’m bought the 1st ten Daredevil issues as they were released (I’m that old). I made the mistake of leaving them at home when I went to Uni. My mom tossed them with all the rest of my comic collection thinking I outgrew. 😢😢

Been thinking about this, w/ Musk/Altman expressing the need for AI caution, I expect that they will be targeted first by rogue AI agents. They are the logical immediate threat. I admit to having mixed emotions about this. Part of me is rooting for the rogue agents. 😏😏😏

If you watch Fever games you will seldom see Jones giving any praise to Clark, more often she is yelling at her. This was not a one time thing, instead a pattern of inappropriate behavior by a coach. It is not a race issue.

I share my personal story every opportunity I get. At 5, I got measles (1958, pre vaccine). My fever was so high my mother, a nurse, did ice packs 24/7. I recovered, but have no memories from before measles. I performed poorly in school C/Ds 1 - 4 , A/Bs 5th grade on. Vaccinate your children.

Are they sure? To get the lowest rate on my auto insurance I use a device that works thru my phone. It tracks my speed versus speed limit (also breaking and acceleration) creating a report card for every trip. I make a point of staying at the speed limit or below now. I bet I’m not alone.

My Father wasn’t a bad man, but our relationship was toxic. We never spoke after my teens. Instead I focused on putting together a chosen “family” of people who uplifted. You should never make yourself smaller to “keep the peace”.

I don’t think this was one of Clark’s best games. She missed many 3’s she normally would make. And still she had a double double, not just any, a 20 point + 10 assists. She now has double the next closest player after less than 3 years in a 30 year old league. still rated by media/players as less.

Funny, I notice the same about Caitlin Clark haters. In order to see the 60 to 70 WNBA games I watch each season I spend about $1000: 4 months of cable, Peacock, Paramount, Prime/ League Pass. I think I earn the right to my opinions. The WNBA is the pro sport I watch now.

I had two issues w/ the Odyssey. The awkwardness parts of the script that dealt with Sea People and especially Damon’s reference to The Bronze Age. The other was the casting. Damon and Holland just weren’t believable. All of the women playing the major female roles succeeded.

Ambien! A good night for me is 4 - 5 hrs max. I tried Ambien a couple of times. Both times, sleepwalked. Next morning all the lights on, unopened cans of cat food in their bowls, and bruised thighs. Ha.
