As a big headed boy, I actually know the better trick that doesn’t require all the fanfare: Just flip the kid upside down so they can come out face first (and not get caught on the ears) which is how they got in this situation in the first place

I guess to put it way, if the “answer” was “this is the plural word for moose” the question would be “what is the word moose?”, not “what are moose?”

Sure, but the question is about the word “moose [plural]” not a singular moose, or the generalized population. It wasn’t like “these large four legged hooved mammals are associated with Canada and have large antlers” which the question would be “what are moose?”
