I mean something like John in scifi, George in horror, Paul in comedy, and Ringo in action.

my next thrash EP, "At The End of it All", releases this Friday! A follow up to both last year's EP and my work with The Recreant, this EP continues the trend of topical, cynical, and yet hopeful tracks with crushing riffs and vocals dripping with vitriol rubyrockatansky.bandcamp.com/album/at-the...

I've been formulating an idea over the course of the past hour or so that's my favorite kind of idea: it's probably going to add an additional 10 to 20 hours of work time across the next few weeks, but it might save me an entire month's worth of work next year.

There are few feelings as satisfying as when one reconciles theoretical frameworks and observes a startling continuity between disparate practices, though this is tempered by the realization that one has appointments starting in ~40 minutes and can't return to the subject until later this evening.

The other day we were listening to this one in Abbaddon's car, and we couldn't figure out exactly what the song's about. It's about a lot of things, but mainly monster fuckin'. Abbaddon made the guitar and bass sounds, Thylaraptor is responsible for the drums, and both sang.

Also important: if anyone in NYC or northeast NJ can let me crash at their place for a few days with my cat, I'd be absolutely ecstatic. Of course I'd be happy to help with cleaning, cooking, listening to hyperfixations, and most any other things.

we used to be an internet... A REAL INTERNET!!!!

Reddit post from r/AskReddit titled, "URGENT! Need to know right fucking now: Is it safe for octopi to drink beer? Stout in particular". The post includes edits explaining that the octopus seems okay, but that the user replaced its containment rock with a cinderblock, and that the octopus later inked the tank before the user went to sleep.

Welp... I gotta try next time. I'll report back on how using an 18g is for the injection needle.

010

Payton M @paytonm.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

That's not as bad as I was imagining. I use an 18g to draw and a 23g to inject, and I was imagining something in the 16 to 18 range as an injection needle. The lower the number, the larger the diameter of the needle, so the 25 is smaller of the two.

Payton M @paytonm.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

Jam bands like Phish, DMB and the like seem to be made of very competent musicians from a performance perspective, who just can't seem to make their jams interesting. I like music to be both evocative and considered, but there doesn't seem to be much consideration going on there.
