Ah yes drawing text is super slow! I would recommend drawing into an image and keeping it in memory, so you have full control over when it runs

As for uploading to the device, I think there's some sort of progressive upload for subsequent builds, which can speed things up a bit. But generally I find that's a good time to go make a cup of tea 🫖

Did you encode your music in ADPCM Wav format? I've found that any other format can introduce CPU overhead and cause performance issues.

Bug fixes! - In the results screen, scores are no longer displayed as zero if the animation is skipped. - Added a guard against super-high scores on the scoreboard, which it turns out are actually the result of _negative_ scores. (thanks @rae.wtf for the diagnosis!)

- Sideloaded levels can now be exported as an '.otto' file format from the level editor, for a more convenient sideloading experience. - Vertical menus such as the level select can now be quickly scrolled through by holding the up or down buttons.

- Relive the story! Intro comics and dialogue can now be viewed again once you've completed the final planet. - Crank speed now applies to absolute mode too, and can go to 300% because 200% didn't feel quite fast enough.

In DDD, after finishing the game, you can delete everything to start again from scratch and the game rewards you with a star. This person on Reddit did it TOO many damn times! What the hell?!
