Pro has a 7-day free trial now, so you can find out whether you need it before paying for it. Publishing, drafts and the offline queue stay free, like always. Go get Nib — and if it's useful to you, throw money at me. 🧵 7/8

Also, in no particular order: home screen widgets, launcher shortcuts, alternate app icons, post templates, a feed that opens on your posts instead of a spinner, statistics that stopped taking forever, and in-app updates so you're not stuck on an old version. 🧵 6/8

browser. The editor grew up too. Headings, quotes, lists, dividers, code blocks, bold, italics, links. And if you want none of that, there's a simple mode: one text box, nothing you type gets interpreted as formatting. It's per blog, and it's the default. 🧵 5/8

There's a Manage tab, which is basically Ghost admin on your phone. Pages, tags, members, newsletters, staff, tiers and offers. You can write a newsletter, check how the last ones did (delivered, opened, clicked) and set up a discount offer without ever opening a 🧵 4/8

Now Nib reads it properly — headings, quotes, lists, images, galleries, bookmarks, embeds — and rebuilds exactly what it understood. Anything it can't reproduce it locks instead of saving a worse version. I'd rather it refuse than quietly ruin a post. 🧵 3/8

The big one: Nib speaks Ghost's own format now. A post you wrote in Ghost's editor used to land in the app as a wall of flat text, and editing it would flatten it for real. 🧵 2/8

Nib got a lot better while I wasn't writing about it Last time I mentioned Nib it was on 0.11 and the news was that it stopped publishing posts twice. It's on 0.17 now, so here's what actually changed. 🧵 1/8

Nib, my Ghost client, mostly got the boring important stuff. It can't publish the same post twice anymore, a queued newsletter keeps the audience you actually picked, and saving a page no longer flattens all its formatting. 🧵 5/6

Share a page from your browser, tap the Quick Settings tile, or long-press the icon, and the new address is already on your clipboard. There's a proper setup wizard for the Fastmail API token too, because that part used to be a guessing game. 🧵 4/6

If I had to pick one thing that I’m missing from iPhone, it would be it’s camera ecosystem. Seriously, there are SO MANY apps to shoot with. Be the change you want to see in the world, so I’m building my own. This is the first pic from it. It’s not good, I just wanted to archive it.
