Ffxiv really does make me feel truly happy. I need to find ways to play it more until things get better. The people, the stories, everything. It warms my soul even after 12+yrs.

Shoutout to that time I was looking into FC's on #FFXIV and an fc leader replied on discord that "based on the fact you have a bluesky account, I don't think you'd fit in with us." Y'know what fam... prolly right, but I don't think it was the bluesky account that did it. Jfc I just draw things.

Hey! I got some sad health news back on Friday. I'll be okay long term, just a bit to deal with in the moment. All the better to channel my feelings into art soon. ❤️

I forgot to upload it a while back but I did the flats for that comm - it's nearly done, just have to highlight and shade it. That's my bad, it has been super busy here. (Plus a few wildfire warnings.)

Au ra male with long red hair in a ponytail and yellow glowing eyes holds a snowy owl friend on his left arm's scales.

A long time ago I had this inking pen setting for SAI I loved using, but somehow lost. (P sure when I upgraded my pc it reset brushes.) Looking at my recent sketch I'm reminded of it, in a good way! With the new drawing tablet I don't feel as inclined to have to draw with my usual thicc lines.

Psssst. The sketch isn't done but I know how thirsty the internet can be so here's my comm sketch so far before I add clothes and other details/fine tuning. #ffxiv #ffxivart #ffxivartwork #wipart #commission #aura #ffxivaura #digitalart #digitalartwork #wip

After making more compromises and messing with more settings - or rather messing again with old ones - I found a sort of middle ground. Is it perfect? No. But it's close enough it shouldn't look drastically different to any kind of friend or customer.

Working on a piece to test out my new drawing tablet - Huion Kamvas Plus 22. I've been dicking with the calibration settings to get the colours right. I've gotten 98% of it good except for blonde-yellow. Tablet is swatch 2 from right, "true" seems two from left. And if I fix that 5 others go bad.

Test piece showing the blonde colour used.

A swatch showing shades of yellow. "True" being two from the left, my tablet being two from the right.
