It finally arrived! I love my first deck but it's hard to handle - the cards are large and stick to each other horribly, even after a year of handling. These don't stick at all and the companion book is very thorough - telling the Slavic folklore behind the image as well as the tarot meaning.
A woman's hand holding a tarot deck with the image of The Fool as the top card. There's a box, a small booklet, and a full size book with the image of an old woman holding a skull lantern on the cover, titled "Firebird Tarot Companion." On top of the book is a fabric bookmark with traditional Slavic black and red geometoc patterned embroidery on it.

Another batch of floss dyeing done. I played with diluting colors this time. Miss 13 did the first three and I did the last three. I need to start trying to sell some so I can buy more dye to play with but I'm intimidated by that process. #CrossStich #Embroidery #Dyeing

I love when people say the Great Lakes aren't real beaches and they don't get real waves. This is Lake Michigan yesterday (not my photo! grabbed a screenshot from a video)

Moving the qsnap again. I'm wrestling with what to do with the animal designs within the wave. Outside the wave, all animals with be in different rainbow colors. But I don't know if that would look good within the wave. #LongDog #WIPwednesday #CrossStitch

Lost a little oomph this week. Finishing the big wave was great and then the realization that I have another big wave to complete before I can move on to the fun stuff set in. I'm now almost 4 months past my previously longest project as well. Gotta keep going, one stitch at a time.

My latest floss creations. Super proud of some of these colorways but definitely need to refine the process more. There's some splotchiness on some of the hanks. Also, photographing these accurately is HARD. The greens especially are not showing up correctly - they're much more emerald in person.

This is the first year the meadow has fall color and I am delighted. Also, despite swarming the few stiff goldenrod that bloomed last year, the bumblebees are far more interested in the jewelweed by the creek this year, which seems to be blooming later than normal. 🌿 #NativePlants

My birthday gift to myself arrived yesterday and these fabrics are gorgeous. First time ordering from Roxy Floss Co. I took a risk on the red fabric since I needed such a big piece and wasn't sure if their photos were true to life. I'll definitely order from them again.
