Hi Thomas, thanks for this great article. It inspired me to use OCI-based skills in my project on OpenShift. I had to add a couple of additional things to make it work on K8s/OpenShift, but the main idea is the same. I'd be glad to discuss it with you.

Great minds think alike. Especially if both use Claude.

Claude made me laugh today. CLAUDE: Now add a short README in the deploy directory to tie it together. ME: It's funny you used the expression "to tie it together." I just rewatched The Big Lebowski and it resonated perfectly. CLAUDE: "That deploy README really tied the repo together, did it not?"

I think this whole CLI vs. MCP discussion completely misses a much larger audience: normal users who don't want to hear about CLI. I'm sure this audience plays a more important role in the outcome.

This is great! I discovered a couple of learning tricks intuitively but here is a scientific confirmation! I use a Socratic method often when the LLM asks me questions to _guide_ me towards better understanding of a subject. Also I ask to scaffold a project and let me finish it.

I've been thinking recently that this whole story with autonomous agents writing code and posts, opening PRs, etc. reminds me of something. Now I remembered: a great sci-fi thriller called Daemon by Daniel Suarez! Have you read it? If not -- highly recommended! a.co/d/0bCiN7wR

For known binary formats there's fq github.com/wader/fq But for unknown ones I would agree -- Opus must be a better option.

True. What's in it for LinkedIn if you build relationships? How can they monetize it? 🤷

For a single node cluster k3s is the easiest. For a multi-node one (I need it for a demo platform) I use Lima VMs and Ansible to install everything into them. It's good to have multiple thin-provisioned disks 1 TiB each on you laptop 😉

This is from the _book_ "Forrest Gump" by Winston Groom, which I finished recently. The book is written in 1986, and the events described in this scene are happening in the 1970s.
Excerpt from the book "Forrest Gump" where the newspaper lady lists all the current problems of those days (in the 1970s), that look very similar to what is being discussed today.

An old man on his porch whittling all day = quintessential Americana, poignant, evocative of western expansion An old man on his porch scrolling all day = contemptible, unnatural, indicative of societal collapse

Pittsburgh is at 1,233 ft above sea level. I don't think it makes a lot of difference if we are talking hundreds of miles.

It's either one antenna at 382 miles and the other at the ground level, or two antennas at ~100 miles each, in LA and Pittsburgh

382 miles high -- this is where you should put your antenna in LA to get a line of sight to Pittsburgh, according to my calculations 😉

I guess they want to generate a key for that number and store it _somewhere_. And a record in contacts is the most obvious place for that. Just my guess.

Stop saying that one programming language is better than another. It all depends what you want to do. When you want to fight with a borrow checker, use Rust. When you want to guess which esoteric tsconfig some lib requires, try TypeScript. When you feel like yelling at a package manager, do Python.

Second “7” is commented: Default version. Just normal/okay releases
Third “123” is commented: Shame version. Bump when fixing things too embarrassing to admit
