Very good read this

Just for comparison, that would be £11.49 on the price cap tariff for our area. Typically over the year we average 15-17p per kWh by load shifting and filling batteries when it is cheaper to cover the more expensive periods such as 4pm to 7pm each day.

Sometimes the Agile Octopus tariff values for electricity can be expensive. But it gets balanced out by days like today. So far we’ve used 44kwh of electricity and haven’t yet reached 0.5p in cost for that. At some point over the next few hours that will go negative. Overall a cheaper tariff for us.

Why not have a 15 year limit on season tickets and then hand it over to a 17-24 year old or hand back to the club? Of course, those on this episode would never countenance giving up their season tickets for others.

Love @theanfieldwrap.bsky.social but this episode wound me up calling for the scrapping of the season ticket waiting list. I’ve luckily managed to go twice this year and have waited over 20 years for a season ticket.

The Manchester City decision shows the costs of an aggressive litigation strategy How the club’s lack of cooperation and putting forward dishonest evidence have put the club at a disadvantage By me, now without paywall at the Empty City emptycity.substack.com/p/the-manche...
The club is now not in a happy place legally.

Not only has it been found to be in breach of various regulations, the commission ruling uses terms like “sham”, “disguise” and “conceal” in respect of those breaches, on the basis of “strong, cogent evidence”.

But this post is not about that evidence. This post is about what the club did once it knew it faced an investigation about those matters.

It made a decision not to cooperate.

It made a decision to put forward witnesses to provide evidence on key points which was found by the commission to be dishonest.

Those were aggressive decisions the club made once it knew it was in regulatory and legal peril.

And it would have done so knowing the likely consequences of those decisions in the findings of the commission.

As a Liverpool fan, I agree. The joy is gone from those titles and there will be no pleasure gained in extra trophies.

It really is a mess. What happens if they win the league this year and are then expelled at the end of the season? I think expulsion soon gives everybody a way of moving on, and allows them to sell players in January. Of course, going to depend on how long rest of process takes.

Paul Sanderson @paulproject111.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
Do you think they should be expelled asap Sachin and their games so far this season declared null and void? Surely they can’t keep playing for the rest of the season

Manchester City supporters (and the people of Manchester) should be furious. Because the first people who have had the piss taken out of them is them. Even now the City statement takes the piss. You are meant to back this pile of bullshit, it says. You are meant to back it unquestionably.

There can only be one option on the table. Full EU membership. 💷 £92bn for our economy. 📈 £43bn extra exports each and every year. ⬆️ Growth in every postcode, region, and nation of the UK. 🇬🇧 628/632 constituencies in favour. 🗳️ Stops Farage getting to No10. It really is a no brainer.

The Burnham speech: firstly, it was a vision. We've not had a national vision for two decades at least. If he can persuade the country on fixing the EU relationship, political reform, establishing a new care system and his theory of growth holds then he will be a transformational Prime Minister.

On the speech itself, the first half was a long way off hard truths. Very comfort zone. Even the anthem. But then the second half was emotionally charged for obvious reasons and an argument: on the union, the triple lock, PR and the EU. None of these are politically easy. This had much more punch.

I used to have a pear tree when I lived in Southport and it was always a gamble whether you’d get much fruit not least as the spring winds would blow off the blossom. This year’s summer heat won’t have helped for sure.

Agile Octopus electricity tariff generally brings savings by using our batteries to buy when it’s cheaper to use when expensive. But tomorrow is properly expensive at tea time. Batteries will be full before then thankfully.

Wirtz is clearly a good player but it isn’t working for him at the moment. He doesn’t read his team mates and they don’t read him, and positionally he always seems in the wrong place. He needs time on the training ground working with the coaches and team mates to make it work.

Virtually always the reply is “I would prefer EU membership but think more would be happy with SM/CU” I think we’ve got into a bad habit of trying to second guess what other people would be happy with and then choosing that, rather than simply stating what we think is the best outcome.
