It's a facile argument. If all Labour politicians switched as a matter of policy the journalists would be forced to switch also. The journalist needs that access.

Given that the harms and benefits are on different scales, whether the benefits outweigh the harms is a personal value judgement. ACOG should not be taking a view on behalf of individuals.

The wall art in West Hollywood is constantly changing.
Wall art: a large glass is depicted half full/empty with two cartoon figures sanding on either side. The one on the left is measuring how much liquid is in the glass with a ruler. The one on the right is standing on some footsteps and measuring howm much of the glass is empty with a ruler. The background is bubble-gum pink and there is some illegible graffiti on the wall.Wall art: A large dog wearing a green hoodie and sunglasses with a gold chain and medallion around its neck and earphones is driving a green open top saloon car with gold wheels and headlights on. In the background are tall palm trees and high risk buildings against a sunset lit sky. The words Los Angeles are written in large, gothic style font at the top.

1. Burn down rain forest, plant GMO soy 2. Feed soy to tortured chickens 3. Feed chickens to salmon because the seas are empty of fish you used to feed your salmon. Health food, right? Go vegan.

Please could everyone restrict the use of the adjective 'great' to mean something well out of the ordinary? Adequate, decent, fine, solid, good, sound, very good, and super all do a great job. Worthy is a solid choice if you wish to damn with faint praise.

Trump want to start using SI. I am genuinely looking forward to the USA switching to metres/kilometres and grams/kilograms. A genius like Trump will have no difficulty making the switch.

I think one can have a valid opinion of a colour palette without knowing anything about colour theory. E.g. "In my opinion that is a lovely colour palette".

Another view of the same bird #birds
A brimstone canary with yellow-green breast, olive-green wings and bulbous beak sitting atop a pincushion flower. It is looking slightly towards the camera and to the right against a plain green background.

#birds #BirdsOfTheWorld #nature This one is a brimstone canary. The photo was taken in Kirstenbosch Botannical Gardens in Cape Town.
Small bird with green-yellow breast, olive-green wings perched on the branches of a small bush with long glossy green leaves and a flower against a pale green background.

The other place for solar farms would be over roads. In summer in California, being able to drive in the shade all the time would be a boon. It would also reduce road noise in surrounding neighborhoods.

‘I want to do everything I can to head off dementia’: why demand for the shingles vaccine is soaring
Could a drug intended to prevent painful rashes also protect our brains as we get older? The signs are promising – but not conclusive. Yet that’s enough to be driving a boom in shingles jabs

Age is just a number: A number that adds 1 second to your running time for each kilometre for every birthday from 40 to 64.
A scatter plot of the pace per kilometre for ~1900 runs by age from age 42 to 64 with a line of best fit showing an inexorable decline in pace as the runner ages.

I have thought about this when interacting with Claude (other are available). I came to the conclusion that being polite is partly just habit, and so it pays to be polite at all times. That's not to say I think people should be banned for being rude to Claude.

Fair point. But, you can hate them, and still be polite. Hating something while maintaining civility is far more devastating.

Yes and no, but I suspect the way a person treats inanimate objects is also reflected in the way they treat people. Getting in the habit of being kind to things is no bad thing.

Doing the compulsory conflict of interest training is a) painful and b) the content makes no sense because the Republicans are trying to teach us all how to maximise our wealth using all available CoIs and this goes against everything in the training.

Well, it's not bad news for the younger families within richer families because they inherit the money and can afford the nice house that the Tories do not want 'ordinary' people to have.

Everything is taxed multiple times. My income is taxed, what I buy is taxed, the person who makes a profit from what I buy is taxed, the person who is paid by the company selling what I buy is taxed, the person paid by that company employs me to clean their house and I am taxed on my income.
