He had no other choice and this is 5 years overdue. The dismal performance in Euro 2020 should have seen him sacked. Instead, he helped perpetuate Scotland’s underdog mentality and persisted with dreadful brand of dinosaur football, showing loyalty to players who were nowhere near required level.

An absolutely brutal slog of a match. Constantly broken up by niggly fouls and poor ball retention from both sides. As is the norm with Steve Clarke’s side, there was little attacking threat for most of the game. The Haiti goalkeeper didn’t make a single save.
