A big part of my job is safety and I stare in absolute amazement/pure horror every time I see a guy doing 30 mph on a scooter with no helmet and over the ear headphones heading straight into traffic before doing a hard 90° turn onto a busy sidewalk at the last second.

I'm at the Cubs game and I cant overstate how packed and alive this stadium is. Its amazing. Its the anti Camden Yards. The traffic is terrible and the prices are outrageous, I think the difference is the fans here haven't been trained to hate the city their team plays in like Os fans have.

Even saying "texting while driving is common" is too quaint and doesnt do enough to describe what's happening out there. A more accurate way of saying it would be "using your phone is just something you do while driving".

I've walked about 10,000 miles in MV but yesterday was the first time Ive ever had to dive out the way to avoid being hit by a car. A very intelligent fella wanted to run the red light by zipping around the parking lane at St Paul and Chase.

Shot from above. Me, in red, minding my own fucking business, is crossing the street when a driver, in purple, tries running the light by cutting through the parking lane.

When I was young I wrestled with this kid and it was this known thing that he had a spot on the USMNT waiting for him, and I always thought that was probably the main reason the team was never competitive. FWIW he did make the team and won 58 caps.

Washington Street was identified in the 2015 Bike Master Plan for a separated bike lane and prioritized in the 2017 Separated Bike Lane Network Plan for installation by 2019.

It took until 2025 to approach final design. In May 2025, community members were told the project could break ground that year.

The Mayor's Bicycle Advisory Commission was told this January the project would be under construction by January 2027. By this May's budget hearing, the project had slipped to a "goal" of Spring 2027 construction.

Brandon was 9 years old when this project was proposed. He was 13 when it was supposed to be built. His whole future is gone because of Baltimore City's inaction.
