I have a bit of a hard time remembering the non-"Amelia" stories in TRILOGY OF TERROR (1975), so I'm glad they didn't go with this arrangement of the segments. Saving it for last was wise.

Terror film for Karen Black. New York - (Special) - Karen Black has been signed to portray four different roles in Trilogy of Terror, an ABC television network Movie of the Week, which is currently filming in Hollywood. Miss Black, who was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in Five Easy Pieces and received the New York Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress for the same role, essays a quartet of diverse personalities in Trilogy of Terror: a young woman who buys a fetish doll for her boyfriend, only to have the thing apparently come to life and try to kill her in the "Amelia" episode... in the "Therese" segment, she plays the dual role of two sisters, one of whom fears the other is trying to kill her... and in the final episode, "Julie", she is a teacher being blackmailed by one of her students.

It definitely felt like a step down from his best work, although he's been on a bit of a downward slope for a while. It's not as tragic as the similarly plotted A Breed Apart, but even still, it's pretty underwhelming.

I agree, I say while awaiting the next season of Return to Paradise.

Don't Move was weird. It seems like it'd be a comedy, but the opening (about the protagonist's first trauma) is so horrific. Then it keeps bouncing back and forth between tones. The spider FX are cool, though. Spider Island (by Triangle's director) was so-so. Neither fun nor scary.

Of the three spider movies that came out recently, this was probably the best. Loved the final girl's choice of fightin' gear at the end.
