It’s been ten years since the first Praxx & Zobott children's picture book was published, and now it’s finally time to complete the trilogy! This Kickstarter will help bring the third and final adventure to life and give Praxx & Zobott the ending we've always wanted to create!

I have something to disclose about #DisclosureDay 👽
Promotional image for Disclosure Day featuring Emily Blunt. Her face is partially obscured by a soft, translucent haze, with one vivid blue eye sharply in focus. In the upper left corner, stylised text resembles a film poster reading “Spielberg – Disclosure Day – 10.06.26”, with smaller credits beneath. Large white text across the lower half reads: “I have something to disclose about Disclosure Day”. Below this appears “Science & Speculative Fiction #3”, followed by Science & Speculative Fiction in italics and “PAULIANCROSS.SUBSTACK.COM” at the bottom. The image has a cool, muted colour palette and a mysterious, cinematic atmosphere suggestive of alien contact and hidden truths.

Disclosure Day. I enjoyed it. Going in, I had seen a mixture of reviews, and I can understand some of the criticism. There are a few moments where the dialogue feels a little clunky, and there are plot points that don't quite stand up to scrutiny. That said, I don't think that's really the point.

In 2015, I read The Martian and then watched the film adaptation. I actually listened to the soundtrack while writing my first science-fiction novel, The Lights of Time.

I’ve been reconnecting with the kind of stories I truly love writing lately… and it’s reminded me why I started creating in the first place. Science will always be part of who I am, but I’m feeling increasingly drawn towards speculative fiction, sci-fi, and imaginative storytelling.

What if another version of your life existed somewhere else? A better one. A worse one. A deadlier one. I’m excited to announce that I’m part of a multi-genre graphic novel anthology that showcases the diverse voices and artistic talents of independent creators from around the globe.

Like most kids, I wanted to be an astronaut. As it’s unlikely I’ll ever go to space, I write stories set in space instead!
A black-and-white portrait of Paul Ian Cross, a man with a shaved head, short beard, and clear-framed glasses, looking directly at the camera with a slight smile. He is set against a bold blue graphic background with curved shapes. At the top, large text reads: “Like most kids, I wanted to be an astronaut. As it’s unlikely I’ll ever go to space, I write stories set in space instead!”Book 1 – Praxx and the Ringing Robot
A bright, cartoon-style book cover set in space. A cheerful blue alien with big green eyes, white spots, and a wide smile (Praxx) floats beside a small grey robot with one large eye and an antenna (Zobott). Musical notes float around the robot, suggesting sound or ringing. They stand on a purple planet with stars in the background. The title “PRAXX AND THE RINGING ROBOT” appears in large white letters at the top, with the authors’ names, Paul Ian Cross and Andy Green, at the bottom.Book 2 – Praxx and the Lost Loonax
A colourful, cartoon-style space scene with a purple sky and distant planets. In the foreground, a pink, fluffy alien creature with small horns and droopy eyes (the Loonax) sits among large green leaves. Praxx, the blue spotted alien, peeks from behind the leaves in the background. The title “PRAXX AND THE LOST LOONAX” is displayed in large white letters at the top, with the authors’ names, Paul Ian Cross and Andy Green, at the bottom.

Storm clouds grip the pier. Waves splash on the dark shale rocks. Ocean roars awake.
Brighton Palace Pier stretches across a dark beach under heavy storm clouds. A vivid strip of orange sunset light breaks through beneath the clouds, glowing along the horizon over the calm sea.
