Republicans kicked 4 million Americans off SNAP with their Big Ugly Law. They’d rather give billionaires tax cuts than feed hungry children. In a House Democratic majority, we will end this cruelty.

Massachusetts renters: Your security deposit shouldn't just sit in your landlord's pocket. It must go in an interest-bearing account at a MA bank within the first month of tenancy. And your landlord must give you the bank's name, address, the account number, and a receipt.

I am watching the OSU vs. Texas game, and there was an attack ad against James Talarico. They are using a quote of him saying, "Defending trans Texans is something we have to do every day." They are acting like that is a scandalous quote. Hilarious or deeply disturbing?

Jon Husted’s staffer took part in “Nazi military exercises” & had a “Tales from Rhodesia” Spotify playlist. The fact that significant swathes of the media ignore the multiple major Republican campaign staffers outed as Neo-Nazis (to focus on Hasan Piker instead) is journalistic malpractice.

Trump's attacks on our civil liberties didn't come out of nowhere. The groundwork for his Orwellian surveillance state was laid by the post-9/11 PATRIOT Act. Only one Senator at the time had the foresight to see what it would unleash.

The lesson of Abdul El-Sayed's win despite being outspent by huge margins is not that money does not matter in politics. It is that money alone cannot win elections. A good candidate with good volunteers can beat a flood of money. But not having enough money can easily lose you an election.

This was obviously intended as a joke, but you know what? It would probably work. The current SCOTUS almost always rules in favor of the party they prefer (i.e., white, Christian, cishet, and/or right-wing litigants). But a ruling of "Jim Crow is illegal!" would be binding on the whole country.

Trump's refusal to sign the housing bill is an enormous political blunder. He could have had a signing ceremony and spent years taking credit for it. Instead, he decided to throw a tantrum to try to take away voting rights. Then again, he will probably try to take credit for it anyway.

My grandparents came to the United States after World War I. The U.S. has held out an idea of freedom and has been a beacon of hope for people in desperate conditions. It has not lived up to that promise (see, e.g., slavery, internment camps, etc.), but we have a duty to push for those ideals.
