It sucks, but also if you are a Rick Rubin convert like I am, you try to remember that "the creative act" is all you should be focused on. Let the Universe (or the other parallel ones) decide what it is. Try to enjoy the process and not put success metrics against it.

The scariest most heart stopping moment from any 80s film for me was @thejoedante.bsky.social’s segment of Twilight Zone: The Movie where the kid’s sister turns around and HER MOUTH IS MISSING. The Matrix did it years later but next to the tongue coming out of the phone in Elm Street, this was it!
