Ex-rugby player here Chris. I had shinsplints and it was horrendous. The frustrating thing is that nothing can really be done about it except ice & rest I don’t think. Tiny muscle fibres start to tear off the shinbone and it can be absolute agony. It’s sometimes caused by artificial surfaces. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Holy War never went away it just metamorphosised. Christian nationalism in the US & UK needs to be quashed. The war is ideological in nature & the problems stem from jihadi fundamentalists on all sides. Religious leaders need to speak out & realise it’s both a top-down issue as well as bottom-up

Pornography is a form of free speech and is fundamentally protected under the freedom of expression. It’s a slippery slope if we start to censor ‘artistic’ (loose!) expression. Banning porn won’t stop wrong ‘uns but I can only assume there’s data to back up calls for censorship on these genres. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It was a bit tongue in cheek, Shane. 😂 I don’t look down on fans who think the solution is to simply throw huge sums of money at it. The landscape has changed dramatically & theres more factors than transfers at play here. United simply aren’t all that anymore and we need to accept that. 🤷🏻‍♂️

United haven’t got the best owners, aren’t the best team, and so logic says they can’t appoint the fabled best in class in this football structure. The data department didn’t exist until very recently and you need boffins above to prevent a manager from becoming frazzled by a data avalanche. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think the data revolution dictates that they need more than one man nowadays. The club is light years behind competitors and so for the time being we need to accept the need for a footballing structure. Also, I think we just have to accept that SAF was an absolute freak of nature.

Again, I don’t disagree with what you’re saying Marit. I think the Martinez episode is as clear an indication that Carrington/Old Trafford is a truly toxic workplace as you can possibly get. My hope is that the comments trigger and foster a healthy ‘conflict culture’ at the club but I have doubts.

Whilst I agree 99% with what you say, theres 1% of me that thinks the players need to be more resilient. To what degree would you be affected in your line of work by the actions of the owner of the company that you work for if they were still paying your astronomical wage? 🤔
