Saw this very old school Facebook like counter in a restaurant in Scarborough UK. It was spot on so of course I had to like them. Unfortunately it didn't update while I was there so might be an overnight thing or even manual!

*Its* source, netweather, does not currently predict 37 degrees. (except in the 'feels like' which is a whole different thing, and perhaps where the Mirror got it).

*google weather hallucination?* Google is currently predicting a temp of 37 deg next week in London, which is pretty extreme for the UK (not going to go into UK heat versus US heat arguments). Except.... no other forecaster seems to be close to that. Met office have it hot at 31 deg, ditto BBC.

a lot is still classified, but no, these aren't flying drones. They're surface and/or submersible unmanned vehicles. neat.

In light of the recent UK news, I'm reminded of this excellent sign in the Rockefeller Center, New York City.

as an AI skeptic I was intrigued at the existence of a podcast dedicated to showcasing when vibe coding has actually produced products that made people money. Fair enough I thought, I can be educated. Current episode list:

I wasn't excited for Starfleet Academy the new Star Trek show; in truth I hadn't kept up even with Strange New Worlds (I do enjoy it though) But I'm pleasantly surprised, some interesting characters and designs, solid Trek and can't wait to see more. (grew up on Next Gen but love em all really)

I'm way behind the curve here, but I'm slowly working through the #AssassinsCreed games. Was expecting a jolt going from Syndicate to the reboot of Origins, but actually having a blast! Loved going round London (as a Londoner) but great to have a whole new era to explore
