its only that its bought in bulk months ago that flights haven't gone up, yet. So what am I missing about Diesel ? 🤔

Paul(We've Met Before) @paul9.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Somebody help me here. Since all fuels are distilled from crude oil, why are we only talking about Diesel shortages and stupid prices ? Petrol although up in price isn't short, as far as I know. I have heard that avgas has gone up by over 100% and

I have just rejoined the Labour Party. I joined the first time during Corbyns tenure thinking he was the man for Europe, how wrong i was. Starmer came along and my hopes rose. again disappointment so left. But, I have a tingly feeling about Burnham. HE'D BETTER NOT LET ME DOWN A THIRD TIME 🤨🤨

Paul(We've Met Before) @paul9.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
Agree, but without a figure somewhere close we will be locked into a perpetual battle between rejoin/stay out/leave/remain. The EU don't want that and it distracts from what is needing to be done domestically.

Labour could put in controls. MSM is warped and its been aloud to stay that way by a political system that benefits from it. If Burnhams got a pair he could rain it back big time.

Paul(We've Met Before) @paul9.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
Don't get me wrong, i'm desperate for us to rejoin but this figure isn't big enough. We need at least 80% 'Yes' to squash any meaningful backlash. We can't make the same mistake as Leave with a 52/48 split, Burnham needs to be mindful of this. We go back whole hearted or not at all.

I must say I’m very disappointed in the police over their dealing with the RAF Fairford incident. By announcing that the suspects are British nationals, they have completely undermined the stream of made up bollocks from myself and every other right wing gobshite on Twitter.

Is anything going to be done about this dipshit ? In a word, NO. Authorities/government seem to run shy of people of his ilk, fearing creating a martyr. This has got to stop. It is a criminal act and needs action.

Was on the way to Berlin to see family with our dog that was getting very shouty in the back. It put our schedule our as we had to go walk on the beach next to the port. We are now relaxed but it was a bad start and wholly unnecessary with brexit.

Off the ferry at the Hook of Holland and have been sat 45 mins so far waiting for passport control. EU que empty 30mins ago. SOMEBODY NEEDS TO GET THIS SORTED, BURNHAM.

Is aggression by Russia against an EU member state, say Poland or Estonia, beneficial for Britain rejoining, pulling European nations together in a common cause. This would also be a test for NATO.

Paul(We've Met Before) @paul9.bsky.social · 28/08/2026
Is Putin about to spark conflict with Britain? I see no reason why not. NATO is at its weakest with Trump both threatening the integrity of the alliance and in Putins pocket. We/Europe haven't had a chance to expand our militaries, he's never gone get a better chance. BUT has Ukraine drained them🤔

The right is filling the vacuum. My eldest son has lived in Berlin for ten years, a very cosmopolitan city, and he's seeing a big change in attitude. Travel south in Germany and its open contempt. War, climate change, economic hardship are all adding to the problem. What are your thoughts 🤔

Paul(We've Met Before) @paul9.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
The point is that I'm worried that by the time we get our shit together, and the way Burnham is approaching it it will be a looooong time, there will be no EU to rejoin. The right are rising across Europe pushed by Trump and Putin, the centre and left seem impotent in dealing with immigration so..

Is anybody worried about the political direction of Europe atm, all over 'small boats'. Coz i am. Spain and Italy having a go, the German right lead in the polls and are threatening to withdraw from the Euro which would collapse the EU. Holland and it right.....

Sorry, thats a little hypocritical. Looking at your bio it says 'love travelling. 41 countries' Your carbon footprint must be massive unless you've cycled or EV'd everywhere. People aren't buying EVs. so it's not productive to force manufacturers to build them then fine them for not selling them.

That was a little disappointing for Count Binface. I would of hoped he'd have received maybe twice the votes he got. BUT on the other hand it just shows that the people of Clacton would vote for a painted monkey if it was called Farage. Hell, he didn't even bother turning up for his win. Pathetic.

Two things today. First. It's frightening just how many are eclipse denying just because they didn't see it or it didn't get dark so didn't happen. Second. I wonder how much Farages sphincter is twitching right now 🤣🤣🤣

I've never seen so much english shit being lost so quickly over last night's defeat. From:- '60 years since 66 beating Germany, now a German managing an england team, it's in the stars, it's meant to be' To:- 'He's done us, a German would never want us to win'

What on earth did Farage think he was doing. Turning a simple and humble wreath laying for a colleague into what looked like a wreath laying at the cenotaph for military hero's. That head bow, just wow 😳😳

Humans. Not british people or Spanish people or any other people for that matter. Put humans first whoever they are. Justice and Equality. We all live on this ball in space. It's not yours or mine, it's everyone's and the sooner people get their heads round that the better.

Yes but he then has 'a mandate from the people' as he puts it so will go for re-re-election and win that. He's well advised.
000
Paul(We've Met Before) @paul9.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
Actually this is a clever move. He said during his waffle that it's going to be the people against the establishment so if he's re-elected he will ignore any findings and say he has a mandate 'from the people' Lose and he's off to the US to make money. Don't under establishment him.

Farage resigns as MP for Clacton to stand again to be their MP. After a diotribe of utter bollocks from him in his resignation speech I'm taking bet on just how gullible the people of Clacton really are. Im not holding my breath. Just heard that with this resignation the enquiry into him stops 🤨🤨

I see england fans are disgracing themselves again whilst out in the big wide world. Not with violence, no, no, with disrespect. In Boston they loved the Scots, the people loved their humour, bagpipes, the cones on statues 🤣 england turn up all lairy and disrespectful of the Scottish fan's.

🤣 I think it's more than that. The english have a chip on their shoulders. The Scots have Kilts, bagpipes and a very distinct national identity. What do the english have !? Morris men and Crusade knight that were mostly French. St George and the english flag have foreign roots too. They're fucked.

I'll believe it when I see it. A few European countries have some leverage to exert on the UK before we are allowed back, Spain over Gibraltar is one of them. It would be a lot easier to sell to the sceptical parts of the British public if he is right, I'll admit, but I can't see it happening.

Labour are not going to get a chance at a second term. Rejoining will have to come from a different quarter but we will have descended into the bowels of hell first. 20 to 30 years.
