He should go further. Trump should have to not just stop, but publicly repudiate what he has said about Canada becoming a state.

The Army just deleted without explanation its page about the 442nd “GO FOR BROKE” infantry regiment—the Japanese American WW2 unit that is the most decorated in US military history. Archive is here: web.archive.org/web/20250304... Page was here: www.army.mil/asianpacific... Disgusting.

I don’t know the school’s rules for unofficial or off-campus activities but could they continue as private groups, not under the school’s sponsorship? Then in some brighter future the school could sponsor them again.

This is so outrageous if true that I really want to see confirmation of it — a statement by someone who saw it directly and took that photo or at least by someone who knows them directly, if they need to keep their name a secret.

This could be a case of malicious compliance to demonstrate the absurdity of the order. But a protest is the natural response regardless.

Current life is not annoying in its cynicism but rather the lack of exactitude of its mechanisms so let’s do the fucking math for them. If our economy is primarily driven by attention, then let’s quantify attention, a quantum of attention is an ‘attenum’ (plural ‘atteni’).

People block for different reasons: philosophical or political distaste of course, but also sometimes just to simplify their daily reading. Being blocked feels like being rejected, but sometimes it’s more like “I like their posts but just don’t have room.”

Judge Lopez seems to say that the trustee erred in allowing secret bids, which did not maximize the return to the families, and in choosing The Onion, because the families should not have been allowed to contribute money to the bid by The Onion, and without it a company supporting Jones bid higher.
