getting pretty close to having the full structure sketched out for this EP, but still a ways to go before release #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky

just got this new piano, and it’s honestly such an inspiring instrument to play. i keep ending up spending a bunch of time just playing when i mean to be composing or practicing haha #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky

you’d never guess i started out composing writing music for rpgmaker games 😆 #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky

sometimes the sections i write quickly just sound better to me #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky

i feel like i’m always a little surprised by what comes out when i write something new #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky

reapproaching this track from a different direction. i think this is why i’ve been avoiding working with a narrative - stuff either doesn’t fit and sounds good, or fits but doesn’t sound good lol #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky

pattern decay @patterndecay.bsky.social · 15/04/2025

visiting with family, so i don’t have access to my synths, but i found this arpy idea i had been working on a while back using teletone anamorph and a few previously recorded synth parts #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky

getting started on track 2 - this’ll be part of the intro (and returning later in a more energetic version as the chorus) #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky

end section of the first piece. structure is done, just need to fill in a few transitions and things #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky

decided to rewrite this section - the last one wasn’t quite the right vibe, and was a bit too busy and wander-y also the algorithm was not a fan of my “creative” lighting hahaha #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky

pattern decay @patterndecay.bsky.social · 06/03/2025

focusing on one track at a time now so i can have the full songs streamable online sooner. also, experimenting with some new lighting to add a little visual interest as my idea to use a projector didn’t quite pan out. #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky

starting to work on some visuals to go along with the music. still needs a lot of work, but you’ve got to start somewhere! #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky #touchdesigner

Amazing article. "More recently, researchers have found that the viral outrage disseminated on social media ... actually reduces the effectiveness of collective action. The result is a media environment that keeps us in a state of ..fear and anger... instead of organizing against [our oppressors]."

Bandcamp is apparently donating 100% of its share of profits today to California wildfire relief efforts, so this is an IDEAL time to pick up some psychedelic synth prog from yours truly!

decided to extend this climax section. i’m starting to sweat a bit trying to reach my self-imposed deadline of 4/7 for bandcamp early release 😅 #synthesizer #synthsky #musiciansky #musicsky

leading up to the move to this new house, i was really excited to *finally* start drumming again. then, the day before we moved in, almost all of my drums were stolen. tbh it was pretty devastating, BUT using what was left and a handful of new parts, i’ve put together a minimalistic electronic kit!

so from 80s synthpop we got the modern genre #synthwave - have we done that for 90s/00s melodic trance yet? #musicsky #musiciansky
