Just read on the news that Russia has lost around half a million men in Ukraine, while Ukraine has lost around 150,000. Husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, grandchildren... slaughtered in the lunacy of a war that's going nowhere. I tend to agree with Harry Patch about the futility of war 👇

#HolocaustMemorialDay. Remembering that "they" also came for gay men, like me... and remembering that some people are *still* going after the Jews, the LGBTQ community and other minorities. The hatred that led to the Holocaust continues to simmer away, even in the supposedly civilised west.

Really sad to hear of the death of Patsy King who played Erica Davidson in Prisoner Cell Block H. A memorable character from the early years of the great Aussie series. One of my favourites. No more mee-mo's from the Governor.

About to read this book. I came across Judge Frank Caprio on You Tube and was deeply impressed by his kindness and compassion. For a judge, he was actually non-judgemental. Sadly he passed away last year, but he reminds me of the innate goodness of some Americans in positions of authority.

My 21 year old Filofax - a Christmas gift from my late sister. I would be lost without it. Everything goes into it. While other people refer to their phones and tablets, I refer to my trusty Filofax. I get some odd looks with my old school habits, but it does for me. 🙂
