I will be doing a post sale haul to show off what y’all helped us get to donate. Here is my Venmo - venmo.com/u/PatrickYim... Ps. This is not something being done in connection/collaboration with the library, but just something some friends and I are doing to help out. 😊

If so, I have put this bingo card together to pool together some extra for us to bring more books home with us. Most YA books average about $17-21 new. So even if we complete only one row, that could get us anywhere from 5-10 books.

On August 15th, some friends and I are going to 2nd & Charles (specifically 2nd & Charles) for the big Penny-A-Page sale. While there, we are obviously getting some books ourselves, but we are also going to be looking to get books for the library. Would you like to help us?

To help alleviate some of the budget strain, I have set up a wishlist to add in the catalog. If you would like to help donate, I’d appreciate it. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help. I am going to add to this & will also try to do unboxings as things arrive. www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/...

Hello threads fam, to those who don’t know, I recently became a librarian at a small rural library in AL. While we do have budget, there are a lot of programs we want to do. Our stacks also need updated & replaced. I’d also love for us to be able to diversify our titles.

Oh yeah it’s expanded a long way. There is also a 25th that is an anthology of short stories. So far they have three more confirmed. Encanto and two more that are still unknown.

Honestly I probably should be more professional on here but I think this is the only place left where everyone I know isn’t here and I can just vent into the void lol

Patrick Yim @patricktreads.bsky.social · 30/03/2026

I’m so tired of living and being places I’m not wanted. I’m trying so hard to find a job I can survive on so I can live on my own but it’s not working. I’ve put out thousands of applications and idk what to do anymore. Sometimes I genuinely feel like it would be easier on everyone to just disappear.

000

Patrick Yim @patricktreads.bsky.social · 16/02/2026

What else should I look into? Honestly I think big brother and traitors are my tops, but I could go for any of them.

000

Patrick Yim @patricktreads.bsky.social · 14/02/2026

Like if you didn’t want to go out with me you could’ve just been honest and said so. Sigh. 😔 we had talked about it more than once too, and they kept saying they wanted to. Now I just feel dumb.

010

Patrick Yim @patricktreads.bsky.social · 14/02/2026

I wish men would just be honest with me for once. The guy I was into lives about an hour away. I asked them out for today and they said that they couldn’t because they were going to be at work. Well flash forward to today, and guess who just popped up in town.

Does anyone have any decent jobs hiring? I’m desperate for something in an office or remote and more secure/steady. It has to be full time. I can’t keep going where and how I am. I live in Alabama but I’m willing to move.

Over the years I have acquired a lot of books, and many of them have been series. Some I haven’t read at all, and some I just haven’t finished. Here are just some of the many series that I want to do my best to get completed this year, or at least caught up to the most recent book that is out.

Just had a guy say they didn’t want to see me anymore or be friends with me because I talk to them too often……the last time I spoke to them was a week ago. 🥲 welp ok. Back to the drawing board I guess. Honestly, this is how and why I read so many books.

000

Patrick Yim @patricktreads.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

Gay men are some of the most mean, judgmental, and awful people. If someone’s looks determine you can even be friends with them, you’re an asshole.

000

Patrick Yim @patricktreads.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

I think moving to another city would also help, but the job hunt for the last five years hasn’t hasn’t come close to anything there either. If anyone has suggestions I’d love to hear. I stopped searching just in my field years ago though. That seems to be all anyone suggests anymore.

000

Patrick Yim @patricktreads.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

I truly think this place is calling me and could be a big step for my mental health. Idk, after searching for years, I honestly don’t think I’ll ever be able to find a job that could get me there. I’m starting to severely get discouraged. 😓

Patrick Yim @patricktreads.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

It’s 850 a month or less if I did the yard. I want it so bad. A space to truly for once be just mine to do how I want. Only problem is I can’t find a job that pays enough 😭 I’m looking all over the town, and for remote. I’ve been looking for so long, and I barely got the job I have now.

I just found the cutest little two bedroom that would be amazing. Would be a fixer, but it’s got a nice size bedroom, a second one that could act as an office/candle room, kitchen with laundry, nice size living space for the library and normal things, screened porch for the plants, and yard space.

Also it’s wild to have so many people following me here but I honestly think only about 5-20 are actually people I know. I think it’s become an emotional barometer because of that lol.

I am thinking - $50 per design. This would - cover the cost of updating - help me print the design - guarantee you 1 candle with the update once completed - put your name on the website and social post for the candle as the design update sponsor. Let me know your thoughts below. 4/4

I started with Fall 1 with Fall 2 in works. Money has been tight, so it has been slow. However, I hope to have them all updated eventually. If you would like to sponsor the cost of a label update let me know. 3/4

I loved how the vibe of the candles felt with full wraps in my Van Gogh line, Pride candle, and secret new collection, so we decided to keep the same designs and extend them to the full wrap to match. I just got the first printing of these new versions and I am in love with them. 2/4

Hey all, a fun new update is here. When I started YC I bulk ordered a lot of my labels. However, after moving and feeling the need for an update, I got with my main line designer to edit. 1/4
