Bold of Taylor Swift to release an expanded edition of her worst album, but I’m still holding out some hope that the new songs might be an improvement on the original album.

I nearly forgot to bless the world with this little quip which would have been tragic for everyone.

Saw “The Dog Stars” and all I have to say is, Ridley Scott? More like Ridley STOP!

Just got stung by a wasp for the first time in my life at the ripe old age of 32, and as Kylie would say before launching in to “Dancing” on the Tension tour, this was NOT ON THE SETLIST.

We're now 4 weeks away from marching through Roscommon as part of this year's Pride. For 2026, we've expanded from just the weekend to having events throughout the week beforehand which is a bit mad, and very exciting! If you're around, please show up and support us. Truly heartbreaking to get up early and go to parkrun only to discover that it wasn’t on this week 😭

Thanks so much! I’ve never actually used Runna before but have heard good things so maybe now is the time. I’ll definitely take a look!

I managed to get a place for the Dublin Marathon in October and now I’m panicking a bit! If anyone has any good training plans or tips, please share them – I’ll definitely need it. #runsky

My favourite character in Evil Dead Burn is the dishwasher.

Still buzzing after the Waterford Viking Half Marathon yesterday. Managed a PB despite the heat and the hills! Now to plot my next half marathon…

Something else that deserves more attention than it’s getting: the third and final season of The Dry is gloriously funny and occasionally heartwrenching. It’s so brilliantly written and the cast are so believable as a totally dysfunctional Irish family.

Absolutely loved Hokum. It’s got some really good scares and a brilliant performance from Adam Scott (he had me rooting for him even though he’s awful). The story, visual effects and props are all amazing too. It deserves so much more attention than it’s getting.

The trailer for the Kylie documentary brought me to tears so it’s safe to say I’ll be watching when it comes out. youtu.be/k-358jALXlA?...

I should say that those who don’t understand what this is haven’t been undressed by kings, sipped champagne on a yacht, been to Nice, OR seen some things that a woman ain’t supposed to see.

… Hey, you know what paradise is? It's a lie A fantasy we created about people and places As we like them to be But you know what truth is? … It's that little baby you're holding and it's that man you fought with this morning The same one you are gonna make love to tonight That's truth, that's love

Patrick Kelleher 🏳️‍🌈🇵🇸 @patrickkelleher.bsky.social · 15/04/2026

Not true! I spent like two days raving about it and then spent the rest of the holiday wondering why it was quietly getting less and less interesting!

Patrick Kelleher 🏳️‍🌈🇵🇸 @patrickkelleher.bsky.social · 14/04/2026

On the bright side: the early chapters about her childhood with Judy Garland and Vincente Minnelli are fascinating and heartwrenching. Her reflections on her early career are also beautifully rendered and so absorbing. I’d still recommend it to Liza and/or Judy fans, despite its flaws.

Patrick Kelleher 🏳️‍🌈🇵🇸 @patrickkelleher.bsky.social · 14/04/2026

Overall I was disappointed with Liza’s memoir. The issues are glaring – most of all the choppy writing style, but also the vagueness with which she speaks about various parts of her life. I would have loved something less guarded, but I suspect she’s playing it safe to protect her legacy.

Genuinely very sorry to see Tracy Clifford leaving 2FM. Her show has always been a burst of warmth and good humour, and a welcome break from the horrors of the news cycle. I hope she’ll still be on the airwaves somewhere. www.rte.ie/entertainmen...

Tracy Clifford will depart 2FM in a schedule shake-up that sees an extended breakfast show and new voices joining the station in a new day-time line-up announced today.

I say this from experience. I worked at PinkNews for a long time, first as a freelancer, then as a news reporter, and later as a special reports & features writer. I worked with incredible people who cared passionately about what they were doing, but the company’s leadership was never on our side.

031

Patrick Kelleher 🏳️‍🌈🇵🇸 @patrickkelleher.bsky.social · 21/03/2026

This is so sad and grim, but anyone who knows anything about the leadership of this company won’t be surprised by this move. Solidarity with the reporters affected who have been doing brilliant work in challenging circumstances for a long time.

Shed a tear watching Jessie Buckley’s beautiful Oscars speech. Such a well-deserved award for a performance that was so achingly raw and powerful. It’s been a while since I was this happy for a Best Actress winner!

I don’t like to judge films based on the trailer, but it’s really not a good sign that they couldn’t find a single funny moment in the entire film to put into the trailer for the new Scary Movie film.

Finally felt like Spring for today’s run. The sun was shining and it was actually warm. WARM!!!

A country road illuminated by sunlight and surrounded by trees.

Me wearing headphones and a dublin marathon running top smiling while on a run with the sun shining.

If anyone needs a pick me up I can confirm that “Summer Sunshine“ by The Corrs wipes out roughly 30% of weather-induced misery.

020

Patrick Kelleher 🏳️‍🌈🇵🇸 @patrickkelleher.bsky.social · 12/02/2026

I’ve been running three times this week and I’ve gotten soaked every single time. I’m beyond sick of this weather.

Just read an Instagram carousel warning people that they shouldn’t aspire to have a relationship like Cathy and Heathcliff because it’s abusive. Do we really need to spell this stuff out for people? I’m so confused.

Just seeing lots of takes about class and race from people who I assume haven't seen it yet!

Just saw “Send Help” and Rachel McAdams truly is one of Hollywood’s greatest treasures. A delightfully entertaining (and hilarious) film that deserves a lot more attention than it’s getting.

I have to hand it to Taylor Swift, the Opalite music video is great – charming, sweet and funny in equal measure, and Domhnall Gleeson looks delighted with himself.

That’s what parkrun (and running more broadly) is all about - crushing the competition!

020

Patrick Kelleher 🏳️‍🌈🇵🇸 @patrickkelleher.bsky.social · 31/01/2026

Anyway, I got what I deserved at this morning‘s parkrun – my result wasn’t registered correctly so I’m just listed as Unknown and I have no official time. A humbling experience.

Patrick Kelleher 🏳️‍🌈🇵🇸 @patrickkelleher.bsky.social · 31/01/2026

I’ve been battling for a while to get to a sub 20 minute 5km. Still a bit off but getting closer all the time thanks to parkrun, which turns me into a horribly competitive person who is intent on beating everyone else.

Haven’t watched Bake Off in years but you can guarantee I’ll be back and watching religiously now that the queen of adjectives and gays who cook is joining the fold.

030

Patrick Kelleher 🏳️‍🌈🇵🇸 @patrickkelleher.bsky.social · 12/01/2026

Absolutely. It had a huge impact on me (saw it on Saturday) and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. Fair enough if people see it and don’t like it, but some people seem to have a problem with it based on a synopsis or things they’ve heard.

Patrick Kelleher 🏳️‍🌈🇵🇸 @patrickkelleher.bsky.social · 09/01/2026

Finally saw Oh, Mary! in London and it did not disappoint. Mason Alexander Park is an absolute star. I laughed so hard and left feeling weirdly emotional, and now all I want to do is go and see it all over again.
