But any AI that’s bad at the truth will be bad at math and science, and AI bad at math and science is worth zilch. It would be nice if that tension ripped apart the computer systems that are currently being built to preserve the billionaire class. But I’m not assuming it’ll be that easy.

I’m doing my very best to hold that in one hand, and a sober acknowledgment on global inequality in the other. You don’t have to be evangelical about AI to know that it’s about to do something. The cost of goods and services going down precipitously could mean a fascist world or a free world.

Though the world is unrecognizable compared to what it was 100 years ago, or 200 years ago, or 1000 years ago, there’s never been a subjective perspective where a person could watch that happen. I really think it’s going to be unrecognizable in one year. These things have never happened.

Just before I heard of thread, and just after I got on here, about two weeks ago, I made the decision to reverse completely how I was using social media. I have never felt like how I was or what I said actually sounded or felt like me, quite, on any platform, all the way back to Facebook in 2004.
