I agree. It seems like there's A) Tax the rich because they're too rich, which I agree with & wish went much further. And B) Raise taxes so we can have nice stuff, which is much more nuanced. Putting them together maybe leads to confusion.

Just to clarify, do you mean tight monetary policy by the fed gov - i.e. high interest rates. In addition, gov paying down fed debt instead of spending more, mostly to help employment?

As a long time teacher, I noticed that Bush era NCLB completely emphasized math and reading - which pushed schools to nearly forget about social studies and science. SS teachers (not all & mostly guys) just started picking a favorite war & talking about that ad nauseum.Still going.

Yeah. Asked about her feelings about easing zoning regulations to increase housing. She said "I feel like I'm being grilled". Yes, you're running for mayor. She said that she liked the feel of LA's old neighborhoods and suggested that we increase housing on large corridors like Wilshire.

I definitely don't think that she's super horrible. But she seems pretty thin skinned and I've heard others who have really worked with her say this as well. Also, I want more housing.
