COVID-19 checks, tariff checks, 2026 Republican mid-term convention checks, and now Trump Medicare checks—free ”other-people’s money” and “wealth redistribution” for everyone—were all Republican Party ideas. I’d say that democratic socialism is in and “free” (tariffed) market capitalism is out.

Surprise. Republican bigotry against transgender people comes for cisgender people. Hate bites everyone in the end. But there’s not much choice for them, I guess, because running on genocide, another forever war in the Middle East, tariffs, and the targeting of Hispanics is not at all popular.

"Speaking about Iran at his rally in Grand Island, Nebraska, Trump said the Middle East nation could 'take out' both Los Angeles and San Diego—two cities with a combined population of over 5 million—and that it would be a 'very small price to pay' for 'keeping the world safe.'" #StillNotMyPresident

Nothing says "Make America Great Again" like a American president inviting a foreign power to take out mainland American cities as a "small price to pay". Little wonder the leader of the Republican Party "fell in love" with communist leader Kim Jong-un, whose regime has threatened to bomb the US.

Seeing Greg "Jade Helm" Abbott trailing in the polls here in ruby red Texas is quite the interesting feeling.

This is funny. What’s the point of gathering workers to hold press events with no press present to show it to the voters you’re trying influence?

Patrick Dark @patrickdark.name · 18/09/2026
It’s gross corruption by the Republican Party to have a senator that’s so mentally incapacitated he has to be told how to vote because he doesn’t know what he’s doing especially after we spent 2024 litigating whether Joe Biden was too old to be president.

Remember how only two years ago we were talking about egg prices being too high, so people voted for Donald Trump, who gutted the EV industry, raised fuel prices sky high, and made the federal government’s top priorities building a grand ballroom for the elite, renaming theaters, and renaming lakes?

Should being given $5000 on the government dime for free be considered "capitalism" or "MAGA socialism"?

This is what Republican voters are being shown. None of it says "come out to vote for Ken Paxton".

Remember back in the day when we had this whole fight over "one man, one woman", the "sanctity of marriage", and the impending extinction of humanity? And now every Republican convention—like this one for adulterers Donald Trump and Ken Paxton—is a Grindr-fest while the wives are at home.

It was an excellent interview. Little wonder why the Trump regime effectively banned James Talarico from public television. We think of governments suppressing political opposition on TV as something that happens in dictatorships, and here we are. What the left knew was going to happen is reality.

25 years later and Lake Ontario is now Lake America and we have 50% punitive tariffs on Canada which we're trying to annex courtesy of Donald Trump and his Republican Party. The "9/11 mayor" Rudy Giuliani was disbarred, the Taliban rule Afghanistan, and we're still burning money in the Middle East.

Act II: Donald Trump loses control of the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait in addition the Strait of Hormuz and 15 American military bases with nothing to show for it. Just in time for the November elections too. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking on US petroleum reserves while we try to annex Canada and Mexico.

Flashback two years: we were listening to non-stop complaints about egg prices (due to bird flu) which were mis-attributed to Joe Biden's governance. Fast forward to 2026 and now we're mired in a forever war of choice and staring upward at sky high fuel prices as a reward for electing Donald Trump.

As the Republican Party was holding their unorthodox mid-term convention in Dallas yesterday, Grindr crashed—apparently for the third convention in a row—and a shirtless photo of Hasan Piker blurred so as to appear to show him in underwear went up on the big screen. Go figure.

I think I've been affiliated with the wrong party for too long; if I want to take "other people's money (OPM)" and give it to myself, I should become a Republican. More seriously, it seems a bit hypocritical to be imposing work requirements on SNAP recipients while promising cash giveaways.

It's a amusing that Joe Biden was written off due to cognitive issues and replaced with the more youthful Kamala Harris only to see the American electorate put a man with dementia in the nuclear driver seat. Further, 2024's high egg prices have been more than displaced by 2026's high gas prices.

Patrick Dark @patrickdark.name · 10/09/2026
The Republican Congress could appropriate the $1.2 trillion for Donald Trump to send $5000 checks right *now*, but won't, so why would anyone believe he'd deliver later? My guess is he originally planned to send tariff refund checks before November before his tariffs were declared unconstitutional.

Guessing the Republican speaker of the House wasn't expecting proof against his lie to be on air as he spoke. It's a trivial thing, but one can guess this sort of brazen dishonesty carries over into legislative work.

The story behind Bartiromo’s exit was much funnier than I expected.

NEW: The Maria Bartiromo backstory, per multiple sources familiar....
Maria Bartiromo wanted to pursue a story related to China and 2020 election voting conspiracies... a major sensitivity for the network given its Dominion and Smartmatic lawsuits.
A Fox Business executive sent a text to Fox Business producers informing them that that story could not go to air.
Bartiromo took a screen shot of the guidance and sent it to senior White House officials.
Fox News leadership learned about that after receiving a call from the White House, which they viewed as a fireable offense.
Fox pulled Bartiromo from air after Aug. 9. She was fired today. I have also learned that her executive producer Patrick Ignozzi was also fired after the annoucnement.
Maria had resigned her contract with Fox last February.

Nothing says “just struggle” like an Israeli Final Solution for the Palestinians, using Project Esther to persecute opponents of genocide, creating Pegasus spyware to hack the phones of journalists, and undermining American democracy so that it operates on an Israel-first principle.

As we suspected, Donald Trump and Republican Party will attempt to rig the 2026 election. They don’t need to change votes; they just need to ensure votes of Trump’s choosing are discarded. This is may be why the feds wanted the state voter rolls: to cross-reference with a Trump-approved blacklist.

This is the culmination of allowing anyone to become “verified” on the ashes of Twitter. I don’t think anyone seriously thinks having accounts like Catturd ™ gaining verified status has made the platform more democratic, meritorious, or trustworthy as was Elon Musk’s supposed goal with the change.

The living dead can be senators now, unfortunately, in another show of democratic representation of the people, Republican Party-style, at its finest. They’re ever concerned about dead people voting except in the corrupt halls of Republican power.

Funny how unabashedly hypocritical the speaker of the House is in light of his party’s promises that Mexico would pay for a wall and release Donald Trump’s tax returns, never mind Trump tearing up deals like NAFTA, the USMCA (which he negotiated), and the JCPOA. “Thou shalt not bear false witness.”

You know socialism is making headway when the Republican Party feels the need to schedule a constitutional amendment vote in Congress to stop the Democratic Socialists of America from undoing Mitch McConnell’s court packing.

It seems like a trivial thing, but every time King Trump decrees renaming some water, every map and textbook referencing those names becomes dated. And if they get changed back after his abdication, they become outdated yet again. Never mind having English-speaking neighbors with conflicting names.

I imagine this is the future of warfare, powered by artificial intelligence so each one doesn’t need a human operator. As we’ve seen from Donald Trump’s colossal failure in demanding the “unconditional surrender” of Iran, ground forces are still needed to win a war; air power is insufficient.

$40 trillion in the red. Where did all of that money go? Are we going to be King Donald Trump’s 7th bankruptcy while he tells the people “Let them eat foreign filet mignon imports!” from his perch in a lavish, gold-adorned Oval Office amid bouts of golf, lake renaming, and a grand ballroom project?

Amusing watching Milo Yiannopolous go from right-wing gay provocateur for Donald Trump to “ex-gay” straight nobody pending deportation to the UK by ICE. Also amusing seeing this photo of him with “Majorie Traitor Brown” (to use Trump’s terminology) who was excommunicated from the MAGA movement.

Doug Ford's response to Trump's big crybaby rant: "You know, I'm not going to, I'm just not going to take the bait. This guy's a loser. He's going to be a loser. And you know something? I have more courage, more brains in my baby toe than he has in his whole body."

Tim’s right… the contrast is clear. James Talarico has the character. Ken Paxton has a record of scandal. #SheShed
Split-image graphic showing Kristen Welker on the left and Sen. Tim Scott on the right. Text quotes Welker asking why Ken Paxton has the character to serve in the Senate despite allegations of bribery, fraud, abuse of power, and his impeachment by the Texas House. Scott responds by saying James Talarico does not have the character to serve. Welker presses again, asking, “But does Paxton have the character?” Scott replies, “Kristen, at the end of the day the contrast is clear…”

Another tale of America’s closest ally, Israel. Why are we defending this country and giving them free money while cutting aid for our own people or telling Americans that there’s no money for social services?

Worth noting if every considering voting Republican because of ”fiscal responsibility”. It’s the same story over and over: tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy (less revenue) and endless war (more spending).

Donald Trump's America First economic plan is to deliberately flood American markets with cheap meat imports and sell them below market value undercutting American ag. Meanwhile, the American media (e.g., Meet the Press) is like "Are you a capitalist?" when interviewing Democrats like Angie Nixon.

It seems like such a different time. In 2011 we had the Budget Control Act and sequestration after Republicans forced Barack Obama into budget cuts. Now DOGE Republicans control all branches of government with a federal debt nearly triple while Republican Donald Trump spends with reckless abandon.
