It was my birthday a couple days ago. This is the girls and I headed out for a swim. Facial-recognition free ;)

Bright setting sun, a tree in the front, a very lucky man and two little girls in the golden light in the middle, and the sea and mountains in the background.

This is my more simple analysis, same idea though:

A map of the world, from the north, with a single line drawn around Russia, the USA, Canada and Greenland.

So, I'm about to listen to this article, and an ad comes on from the Canadian federal government where they say that their new energy projects will "lower emissions." Does this even comply with anti-greenwashing laws? Or maybe they've exempted themselves..

Brookfield owns Canadian pipelines, and Carney owns Brookfield (in part, through shares and stock options held in a not-very-blind trust, which the ethics commissioner said he should divest, but he hasn't), but it's all okay because .. because...... can some Carney splainer tell us why this is ok?

I took my eldest to the Raptor Centre the other day, someone captured this..

Dude in a jean jacket and baseball cap with a Harris' Hawk, wings and tail spread out, about to land on his gloved hand. Basel, the hawk, is reddish brown with black and white bands on tail and inner wings. In the forest.

My daughters found this super cool piece of beach glass yesterday. Plus some eels and fish etc. The greatest treasure is time outdoors with my girls ❤️

Reading this book, Bitter Heat, by Roger Phelps, and honestly if I was reading it before the Epstein files came out I'd be skeptical about a lot of the allegations, but it's shocking how many of the same names keep coming up.

Book cover - Bitter Heat: deliberate global warming via 'trick' Cheney, Texas oil, spies, organized crime, and big real estate, by Roger Phelps.
Cover is fiery red and black with a picture of Africa and the middle east

I did a google search of "what countries is dp world banned from" and this is the result:

Text in image: DP World, a major Dubai-based port operator, has faced bans, contract terminations, or suspended investment ties in several regions, most notably in Somalia (including Somaliland) and Djibouti. Additionally, in early 2026, major firms from Canada and the UK paused future investments over ties to Jeffrey Epstein.Somalia (2018): The Somali government banned DP World, declaring contracts signed with the autonomous region of Somaliland "null and void" due to violations of national sovereignty.Djibouti (2018): Djibouti seized control of the Doraleh Container Terminal, ending a long-term concession with DP World.Ukraine (2023): Ukraine added DP World to its list of "international war sponsors" due to its cooperation with Russia, although this is a designation rather than a complete operational ban.Investment Suspensions (2026): Following revelations regarding DP World CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem's links to Jeffrey Epstein, Canada’s La Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and British International Investment (BII) suspended future investments.While not bans, operations in other nations like Tanzania have faced intense public protests, and labor unions in the UK and Australia have accused the firm of aggressive practices.

We are bee lovers in my house, trying to make a bit more habitat for them every year. Saving bees is easy - stop poisoning them. Here she is:

This looks like conspiracy to commit genocide, genocide (considering attacks are ongoing) and maybe also public incitement to commit genocide. The USA has ratified the Genocide Convention. Universal jurisdiction applies to genocide, so any state can charge and try him (fairly). No need for the ICC.

Screenshot of the Genocide Convention (a and b highlighted):
Article III
The following acts shall be punishable:
(a) Genocide;
(b) Conspiracy to commit genocide ;
(c) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide;
(rf) Attempt to commit genocide ;
(e) Complicity in genocide.

Yesterday was the day MLK was shot, 1968. The day before, April 3rd, was Jane Goodall's first birthday since she passed (also my daughter's birthday). We can't let the losers who try to grab all our attention with their drama make us forget what matters.

Big eagle day for me, they were having a party out at the point. Saw one catch a fish, which I haven't seen in years. Later went back with the kids for some northern lights, but was a little early. The world is still beautiful.

Remember, everyone, Carney is a JUNIOR PM - he's new to politics, and has a minority government. Don't just blame him, his Cabinet - every MP in it, is equally responsible for not calling this out as the violation of international law which it is.

Nature pic, anyone? Here's a shot I took of a mountain which is sacred to me, Wanachus, in Tofino, also known as Mt Colnett.

So now Ghost in the Machine, arguably the Police's darkest album, is "children's music"? Kids, we're gonna watch Paw Patrol, and then listen to .. "He goes out at night with his big boots on None of his friends know right from wrong They kick a boy to death 'cause he don't belong.."

Get trump to attack people until someone fights back, then let them fight it out until they're depleted, then roll in and take it all. Classic boardgame strategy.

000

Patrick Canning 🇨🇦 @patrickcanning.bsky.social · 09/01/2026

Absolutely. In my view this is all Putin's plan: get Trump to attack people until someone fights back, then a regional war that exhausts all parties, then he can roll in unimpeded. Divide and conquer.
