#transit pic of the day (7) The temporary diversion of route 11B due to the road works for the new tram line 12 earlier this year gave way to this spot for a picture of Vienna's longest buses on Reichsbrücke. DC Tower 1 in the background is Austrias highest skyscraper at 250m.

Today's #transit pic of the day (4) is a welcome to my new British followers! A former London Underground 1938 tube stock class 483 is waiting at Ryde St John's Road for its departure in the summer of 2018. They were the oldest trains still running in Britain back then!

Today's #transit pic of the day (3) can of course only be a picture of the spontaneous tram replacement service for line U1 in the closed core section. Here are two of the three trams that worked on that service yesterday at the main station stop. The right one wrongly displayed "D" as its line.

#transit pic of the day (2) Here's an ULF (=Ultra Low Floor) on line 43 traversing the Schottentor loop with the beautiful Votivkirche in the background – still looks uncanny to me without the large ad display ... The track layout was completely redone this summer, so this shot is already history!

Nice to see the bendy buses were not scrapped after their withdrawal in Brighton! Didn't know there were other cities besides London that had/have them in use before I visited Brighton in summer of 2022.
