We went to the second best rated Chinese Restaurant in the entire country over the weekend. It's located in Rhode Island (if you were curious). This is what we ordered. My fave was the scallion pancakes. Husband's was the noodles. The 9yo loved everything.

Our friends invited us to their lake house in New Hampshire last week and it was G-L-O-R-I-O-U-S. Water was super clear, it was calm during the weekday and even though I broke out in HIVES on the first night (some lake parasite probably), it was still sublime to spend four days in serenity.

Went into the city last night with the in-laws & 9yo while my husband had a work thing at a brewery. We had dinner at an Italian restaurant with the best parker rolls. That the manager told us they're getting rid of! My husband said to me later "I don't know if I'd go back...". He's harsh!

it's CRAZY HAIR DAY at the theater summer camp (my work) and one boy turned up with Alfalfa hair. So I made a point of taking a photo of him and featured him on our socials. Loved it!

Had my annual skin check this morning. Doc had to scrape off a mole that was looking darker than all the more "normal" looking ones. Results in a week. No news is good news. Good times.

We’re in the Bronx now. Entered a bunch of lotteries for Broadway shows but won none so we stayed local for dinner tonight. Would have been nice to go into the city. On the plus, picked an awesome Albania restaurant for dinner. So good.

We start our journey back to Boston in 8 hours :( Leaving is so hard. So so so hard. The hardest thing I've ever done. Even the 9yo had a big ol' ugly cry after we left our last family dinner. It's hard on us. Hard on the people we're leaving behind.

My cousin told me about this bookshop run by the local Rotary Club. They had 50% off all books. I regret not getting this one. Published in 1981. I always feel the need to save Austen’s books from shelf purgatory. Maybe I’ll go back there again before we leave for the US.
