Day 21, #artadventcalendar This is September Poppies from 2010. When I was laid off from the Yellow Pages in spring 2009 I was gifted a pack of wildflower seeds and the poppies bloomed in September. Bittersweet memories for sure.

Day 16, #artadventcalendar This is The Covid Special from 2020. I originally planned to add a cardinal to make it more Christmas-y. But Christmas 2020 was like no other with the pandemic taking over. The hawk represented having to be watchful of the danger everywhere before the vaccines came out.
