The sleeves of the Battle Jacket are DONE!! WOOOOOO 🎉 They look the same as before from the outside - but the pattern now stays firmly in place, rather than just being loosely attached. Here's a photo of the inside, from when I had just done part of the reinforcement. #OFMD #OurFlagMeansDeath

Close-up photo of yellow fabric. It is covered in wiggly lines of stitching, because it is the reverse of where I have made patterns with appliqué of macrame cord. The upper half of the image shows what the inside of the robe looks like with the patterns just attached with the initial one line of stitches. The lower half shows what it looks like when I have also stitched along both edges of the macrame cord on the other side. It makes a nice pattern, with lots of little diagonal lines of thread following the sides of the curves.

Today the battle jacket did an April Fool prank at me, by suddenly pretending to be an Ood! (Ood pictured here for anyone not familiar with these Doctor Who people)

Weaving in the ends is going well - only 9 left to do (tho 8 of those involve difficult sewing decisions first 😆) These long ends are much MUCH easier to work back in, compared to the tiny fiddly annoying ends which I did at first 🤦 Also, much better to divide into 7 strands rather than just 4.

The back of the robe now has 2 of its 4 long wiggly lines! WOOOOOOO 🎉 I did the outer 2 first because they were simpler, going straight over the shoulders in the same direction. The inner 2 lines have a confusing bit at the top, which I haven't quite figured out yet 😅 #OFMD #OurFlagMeansDeath
