All of a sudden TSN and other Cdn soccer announcers have fallen in love with the term brace to describe 2 goals in a soccer game. Not a term I heard commonly used, or at all, till last month or two.

That was quick of Canada Soccer to switch to a recorded version of O Canada when the singer messed it up in Montreal yesterday at the Canada-Peru game. Singer sounded too nervous.

Have you noticed the new spiel of door-to-door sales or charity people is pointing out how all your neighbours have signed up or donated for whatever it is they’re selling (and you’d be left out if you don’t).

This was another major improvement for those affected that Eby government deserves credit for. Maybe not giant issue as far as entire BC economy goes, but imagine working on large construction site and being required to use porta-potties. Right thing to do. bcbuildingtrades.org/flush-toilet...

Interesting development in BC election. Sounded like Wooldridge had left Kelowna politics for good. He lost by just few votes last time to BC Con Kristina Loewen, who hasn't been a high profile MLA, but not quite no-profile either. www.kelownadailycourier.ca/news/article...

The developers I've seen have the most success with city and regional councils are the ones who answer yes to almost everything councils ask. They have a real tact and skill in how they respond to councils. If they go to battle, they're going to lose. www.castanet.net/news/Peachla...

Many defecting BC Conservatives ran back home once KLF was turfed and a more moderate, likeable leader put in place. There's unity for now, more or less. Will it last is one of the questions of this campaign. #bcpoli #bcelection

Canada has too many work disruptions in key industries businesspeople have apparently convinced Carney's conservatives. Hogwash. Strikes happen. They get settled. Life goes on. Canada's reputation doesn't suffer. Other countries don't notice. Blaming workers & removing their rights is bad answer.

I'm liking Avi Lewis's approach in many cases to being an opposition politician. I'm onside when he criticizes gov't on environment, airport privatization and trampling on union rights. On other hand, when the Carney gov't does something at least partially right, he says so (unlike the other guy).

Not excited by Carney's gov't airport privatization nor apparent plans to strip unions of right in some federal industries (because big biz wants that).
