Lmao, I don't eat breakfast that often so don't usually eat pancakes that often either, but when I do eat them it's great

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 9h

Yeah lmao, been a hot minute since I last had pancakes, but fresh hot pancakes with some butter, canadian maple syrup, and fresh fruit is amazing

Got good thickness to it too

Definitely, I would love to make a hata museum

Day 48 - anime/series you thought was mid until you watched it Dangers in my heart, originally thought it would be just average romcom slop and wasn't so sure about the whole edgy thing, but it ended up being an amazing romance anime

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 15/10/2026

True, and yeah, tonikawa doesnt require any fancy, expensive animation (yet)

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 15/10/2026

The other day I cleaned my bedsheets, and taking a nap in fresh, warm sheets straight from the dryer is truly divine

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 15/10/2026

Fr, and it's not like tonikawa isn't popular enough to justify another season, it definitely is. Seven arcs needs to get back on peak

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 15/10/2026

Yeah, on paper spring and fall sounds like they should be the ideal temperatures, but in reality they're only in the extremes, never in the middle

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 14/10/2026

Day 47 - anime sequal you wish was announced Tonikawa s3, where's it at? Tonikawa s3 is the climax of the original plot I guess we'd call it, I need to see it animated

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 14/10/2026

It's alright, but maybe I jumped the gun a bit on the whole summer is finally over thing, was 85F out today. The weird transition season is annoying, one day it's 40F the next 85F

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 14/10/2026

Indeed, we're definitely lucky tonikawa is still giving us fresh hata-sensei content

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

Day 46 - anime you wished never ended Hayate, I want more hayate content. I need a spin off for each girl's pathway

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

Day 45 - anime character you would love to have as your homeroom teacher Definitely not yukiji, definitely Nasa

130

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Day 44 - sci-fi show that is most similar to what the future will look like acc to you Serial experiments lain is a sci-fi, and the world is already getting closer and closer to it, so yeah

010

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Indeed, doesnt get any better than this

010

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Day 43 - favorite tsundere hinagiku

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Yeah, i've probably seen the original series like 12 times and XY/XYZ at least 10 times. Vast majority of those watches was when I was a kid and basically had nothing else to do or watch. I basically know the entire indigo league by heart lmao

010

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Day 42 - anime with infinite rewatchability I'll say a few here, ofc tonikawa and hayate, but to add some varietation, saiki k, pokemon, GATE, and bocchi the rock are all anime I've seen at least 5 times

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

We're getting those fall vibes again, weather's cooling down, leaves are turning brown and falling, animals are getting fat adn burying food for winter, we're finally leaving the heat of the summer

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Day 41 - favorite canon couple Yuzakis

141

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

I got hit by a hawk this morning when walking down the side walk lmao. It flew in from behind and it's wing hit my arm. Pretty big, probably the height of a little below my knee. Guess it's having a ball cause a lot of squirrels and chipmunks are out prepping for winter

010

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Day 40 - Favorite anime quote Got 2 peak quotes right here

010

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

We only know it's gonna be in 2027, they haven't said when specifically. S2 is either gonna be a hit or miss since it's completely different cast of characters and setting than the first part, but hopefully it's still just as great

010

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Day 39 - Favorite isekai anime Still probably gate, such a great anime with basically infinite rewatchability to me. I just love the idea of cultural and technological diffusion between a modern society and a fantasy society. Excited for Gate 2 to come out

Got 2 to post about today! Happy 6th anniversary to the Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle anime! Also, happy 16th anniversary to the World God Only Knows anime!

112

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

definitely a masterfully written story, not the kind that you want to rush. When watching this anime it's a good idea to pay attention to all the subtle details, s2 will make you really appreciate the care put into s1 that no one realized was there until s2 came out (unless you're a manga reader)

010

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Indeed, fall 2020 was really one of the most peak anime seasons of all time

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Indeed, and we actually missed it, but a couple days ago was the tonikawa anime's 6th anniversary, so happy belated 6th anni to tonikawa anime!

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Same, though even though we havent known them for 20 years, we've still known them for a good number of years by this point so still makes me feel a bit old lmao

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Day 38 - Favorite action anime I'll go with vinland saga. It wasn't at the top of my list in s1, but when s2 came out and showed me what vinland saga is really about, it instantly flew up to one of my favorites. I dont love it for its action, but for how it uses action to convey its story & message

110

pastanick @pastanick.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Happy 20th anniversary to Kanon 2006! But man, 20 years alright, hayate anime will be 20 years old too next year

Happy 20th anniversary to the Kanon 2006 anime! I have fond memories of this since it was in the first group of anime I checked out to expand beyond Hata's stuff. Great writing and, of course, a bit emotionally heavy. I always loved how it has this cold, winter vibe throughout the entire anime.
