Gotta make sure Bluesky knows about this three-way collab meme encapsulating, well, several of our episodes. Phrasing: Reddit user ezgo22. T-shirt design: @lgrace.bsky.social. Gif: @aneelin.bsky.social.

Rewatched 1917 tonight and I will never know how anyone will ever be able to take in any (re)presentation of this era as anything other than antiwar, but also people will always see what they want to see, and that's what built The Pasithea Powder.

Two WWI soldiers navigating a crater in No Man's Land

A WWI soldier running perpendicular to an attack

A WWI soldier outlined against a burning backdrop

You thought we were done with Pasithea costumes? Think again. 🕴🏻👸🏻 Also, for the Americans among you: the worst man you know voted early. Do you reallllly want his choice to be what decides the fate of Santa Pedra?

Molly as Agent Blanc drinks coffee and wears sunglasses.

Jackie as Reina Valencia poses close-up with blue eyeliner and a radiating crown.

Molly as Agent Blanc winks at the camera over her sunglasses. She is wearing an "I Voted" sticker

Jackie as Reina Valencia holds a globe and a handful of peacock feathers.

I've been driving myself nuts for months with the memory of writing something in some episode of Pasithea that spoke directly to, or echoed, or something, some moment in Angels in America. Well, I was flipping back through a couple episodes to prepare for a presentation I gave this evening and, oh!

Dialogue between Jane and Sophie in Episode 21: Fish or Cut Bait. Jane says, "Are you sure? I don't know if I could take it back again. You didn't think you could live with it before." And Sophie says, "I don't know if I can live with it now, but I still want it."

A screenshot from Angels in America. Prior says:
"But still. Still.
Bless me anyway.
I want more life. I can't help myself. I do.
I've lived through such terrible times, and there are people who live through much much worse, but ... You see them living [...]"

Happy Halloweekend! A few weeks ago, we decided that after four years of dressing as Sophie and Jane…we should dress as Jane and Sophie! Behold Molly as Sophie Green and Jackie as Jane Gonzalez. 🚀

Jane and Sophie go to the museum - or - Molly and Jackie just happen to stumble upon The Vibes

Molly, wearing a mask and bathed in green light, points at a Biohazard sign.

Jackie sprawls on a chair at a spaceship console.

It's not too early to plant the seed! If anyone dresses up as a Pasithea character for Halloween, please tag us and let us know! We can't be the only ones! Photos from last year to inspire:

Jackie, a white woman with short gray hair, poses as Sophie Green. She is sitting on the floor, wearing black lace up boots. Tight black pants, a white shirt, and a black nondescript military jacket. She is giving the middle finger.

Molly, a pale woman with curly dark hair braided over one shoulder that is blue at the ends, holds a piece of pizza and looks off to the side, suspicious. She is dressed as Jane Gonzalez, wearing a black shirt and a pale cardigan.

Now Jackie has taken off the jacket, revealing what could either be a shoulder holster, suspenders, or a harness, and reclining against a closed door, looking bored and/or despondent.

Now Molly has transferred the pizza to her mouth and she is holding a wriggling cat.
