P. Ash @pashpaw.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I'm now wondering what Jobs would do here. Is this what he wanted from Apple? #apple 000
P. Ash @pashpaw.bsky.social · 25/05/2026I got catcalled. While wearing a nice dress. And standing next to my boyfriend. This isn’t for you, weirdo. It’s for him. 000

P. Ash @pashpaw.bsky.social · 02/08/2025Some realizations that I had after being in the “normal” world after growing up in an engineer’s house: 1. Electromagnets aren’t generally toys. P. Ash @pashpaw.bsky.social · 18/07/2025Somehow, a graphing calculator from 2004, the TI-84, is a $140 at my local Walmart. The newer edition with Python was $100. This is bonkers. 000
P. Ash @pashpaw.bsky.social · 08/04/2025So, another minor issue is that the macro1 cross-assembler doesn't have the PDP-1D's instructions. I have been working on adding those instructions into it. I *think* I have gotten TAD to work. 000
P. Ash @pashpaw.bsky.social · 19/03/2025Some things about digging through the PDP-1 assembler problem: 1. I don’t have BBN’s bespoke version of Midas for Exec-III. 2. The Macro 1962 paper tape image in the MIT seems to be borked. 3. There is a listing of an older version of Macro (and FLINT/FRAP) in the Bitsavers PDFs. 200
P. Ash @pashpaw.bsky.social · 18/03/2025Now digging through the fragments of PDP-1's Midas from Bitsavers in Expensive Typewriter and it appears to be uncompiled. I don't think it's complete (11 out of 25 parts, apparently), but it appears to be the originating version from BBN. 100
