What a bum ass headline. Yes PCGamer, Marathon has had a spike in players after the mid season content update BECAUSE BASICALLY ALL LIVE SERVICE GAMES HAVE A PLAYER SPIKE AFTER A MAJOR CONTENT UPDATE. Nothing about this is unusual or even related to the PvE mode, it's just normal.

True enough. I guess the issue they have NOW is they consider lazer stable enough to promote as the main download on the download page but despite that the current userbase is still actively split down the middle roughly 50/50 into the stable and lazer clients. That's... probably not ideal...

Oh and right, this is what I mean about the fact there's stable holdouts. There's A LOT OF THEM. And by a lot I mean the userbase is split pretty evenly 50/50 across old stable users and lazer users. (5456 on old stable and 5620 on lazer) It's a fucking MESS
