Ha-Chan, Shake Your Booty is evocative of the foreign/indie influx of films that were making a mark in the nineties. Reminiscent of movies like Strictly Ballroom, Muriel's Wedding,or Priscilla Queen of the Desert that were both crowd pleasing and wonderfully individualistic at the same time.
