back of Ivan Zamorano wearing his Inter Milan kit, which should be number 18 but he's added a plus sign between the digits because he was sad he didn't get the number 9

"Well, I'd like to see ol Leo Messi wriggle his way out of THIS jam!
*Messi wriggles his way out of the jam easily*
Ah! Well. Nevertheless,"

I'm 100% sure they're just going to lie about this every game, they already did it in the Czechia-RoK game
a tweet from Kieran Maguire, reading:

Guadalajara stadium capacity 45,664
Fifa official attendance (or shoukd that be pretendance?) 44,985
Nothing to see here? Have we been harsh on fifa?

there is an attached picture which shows the game in question, with hundreds of empty seats visible in three blocks alone

not even including the Large Camaro or the M-Sport Bentley cos I think they're too well-known
green Alpina B3 GT3Blue Venturi Heritage GT3 at Paul Ricard. Unclear why they decided to name it the Heritage as Venturi had existed for 16 years and gone bust 6 years before they made this. It never raced in period but its testing got some coverageAscari KZ1-R GT3. It looks like a particularly lazy creation on Automation.

this is slightly wrong - it was sometimes used for this purpose in printed works but the medial long s significantly predates moveable type, as seen here in Roman cursive written in ~400CE, and continued through to late medieval gothic script (with which early printers were very familiar)

other surprising things to be named after a specific pair of breasts include Dolly the sheep
screenshot of Wikipedia containing the text: "The cell used as the donor for the cloning of Dolly was taken from a mammary gland, and the production of a healthy clone, therefore, proved that a cell taken from a specific part of the body could recreate a whole individual. On Dolly's name, Wilmut stated, "Dolly is derived from a mammary gland cell and we couldn't think of a more impressive pair of glands than Dolly Parton's."

Steve McQueen's Le Mans (1971) was possibly even more OTT in this regard, including modifying a Porsche 908 into a camera car and entering it in the actual Le Mans race, where it came a decent 9th despite lengthy stops to change film. other camera cars included T70s, 917s and a GT40

they did something vaguely similar in 2021, not sure what that was about either, there was a big trend for putting serrations on wing trailing edges in the late 2010s/early 2020s to discourage airflow separation at higher angles of attack but this seems different

thinking once again about Shelley's friend's attempt to write a poem on the same topic...
A screenshot of Wikipedia, reading
"Smith's poem was published, along with a note signed with the initials H.S., on 1 February 1818.[3] It takes the same subject, tells the same story, and makes a similar moral point, but one related more directly to modernity, ending by imagining a hunter of the future looking in wonder on the ruins of a forgotten London. It was originally published under the same title as Shelley's verse, but in later collections, Smith retitled it "On A Stupendous Leg of Granite, Discovered Standing by Itself in the Deserts of Egypt, with the Inscription Inserted Below".[4]

Text
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
The wonders of my hand."— The City's gone,—
Naught but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon."

it is crucial to note that, for some unknowable reason, Horace Smith decided to capitalise the word Leg
