Rare truth telling here from an American winger. Sadly it doesn't actually comport with reality as many Americans are finally beginning to learn. This is the fundamental epistemological horizon all these people operate within.
Pic of a "quotable quote" by Karl "Goebbels" Rove: “We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”

That said a wee bit of googling shows this, which supports what you're saying, though I dunno that a mere 42 is cause to celebrate, and of course I can't help but notice that other sources basically triple that number.
Bar graph showing school shootings in the US by year, starting in 1966. clearly shows that the number went bananas at the beginning of the Trump era, though the number has declined in the last couple of years, with only one a week this year compared to three a week a few years ago. Also has been noted that some of this may be thanks to trigger happy sociopaths holding off on laying waste to their school's normie population so they can join ICE and lay waste the the entire society's normie population.

It's not just that the visitors encountered things, it's also that there's just a lot fewer visitors:
Chart showing tourist visits to the US between 2000-2026 from Mexico, Canada, UK, Japan, and France. Of particular note is the massive canyon of visitors during the covid pandemic era (2020-2021) and the absolute cliff since Trump started presidentiblathering at the beginning of 2025. Canada's tourists in particular dropped from 20 million in 2024 to less than 8 million so far in 2026. Mexico went from 18 million to just below ten, but all the countries in this chart have seen significant declines during Trump's second interregnum. The face of a climate courtesan.
Faeceplant post by the Heartland Institute trying to argue that somehow magically the warming effects of CO2 in the atmosphere are going to tail off now, so burning their client's products is hunky-dory.

larf rules for the little people, eh Clara James?
Post on Faeceplant by Tod Maffin. Says: "Not to commenters — my team sees all your comments. Even the ones you post, then delete ;)"

Shows a screenshot of a deleted comment on one of his posts by Clara James - Sarnia City Council Candidate, along with a few notifications about it, including "This message is hidden on Facebook", "This message has been deleted from Facebook", and "Replies to your Page are not permitted for this message". The comment itself says "You're literally lying . You liberal idiot ."Some posts from Clara James - Sarnia City Council Candidate

The first one says "Yes just so everyone is aware I called a liberal online personality an idiot . Just since it's being spammed on my page. I thought I had done that on my personal profile . Anyways just to clear the air ."

The second one says "I have an idea to motion that all city funded organizations and boards must keep comments on at all times. This is because I feel strongly that the Sarnia Police and some other city run pages have been utilizing the “comments off”
Function to silence the community from asking questions and voicing their concerns . And the real question is why are they doing this unless there is something to hide.
As mentioned, this would apply to all organizations and pages the city has and would require a request for council to approve the commenting section to be shut off- and only be allowed to be used in extreme circumstances ie. death threats and not for an egregious amount of time.
Let me know if this is something you’d support !

Reading this thread you're kind of nutpicking. I don't see anyone in a position even remotely analogous to US Senator trying this shit. In the meantime there are lots and lots of sitting and campaigning US politicians who are interested in putting even more trade barriers up between our countries.

For my American friends here. You think the trump clown show is what's doing the damage, but it's not *just* that. For example, the US ambassador to Canada is Hoekstra, and he invited a woman named Tamara Lich to the embassy for 4 July this year. It's not going to go back to how it was before.
Picture of Greg MacEachern, founder of KAN Strategies and a well-known political and business consultant in Canada. The text quotes him, saying "One of the key organizers of the illegal occupation of downtown Ottawa gets an invitation to the US ambassador's 4th of July event. So that's a pretty clear message."

Oh look, the Ontario Conservatives are bringing HOAs to Ontario. This fits right in with the ongoing project to only permit owners of capital assets to have any actual say in what happens to the society. Yay. 😐
Post by Laura Smith in "Your PEC Community Page":

"Well here’s a thing that happened today…The association will have the power to set membership fees, establish localized by-laws, and even place financial liens on properties if those fees go unpaid.
-A major residential and commercial development in Prince Edward County is getting its own governing rules.
A Private Members Bill by Bay of Quinte MPP Tyler Allsopp, received Royal Assent in June.
The Base31 Community Association Act requires anyone who buys or owns property within Base31, to join the local association.
The association will have the power to set membership fees, establish localized by-laws, and even place financial liens on properties if those fees go unpaid.
Proponents say the structure will help fund and maintain a mix of arts, culture, and community facilities across the former military base.
It also explains that once a piece of land is sold to a private homebuyer or a business owner, that new owner joins the Base31 Community Association.
There is also a provision in the Act noting that property owners outside the 750-acre Base31 lands may request to join the association though this is not something the developers will actively seek out.
If an outside property owner does wish to join and the organization approves it, a notice is added to their land title stating that the property becomes legally bound by the rules from that point forward.
Construction of what is called Village A/Hilltop begins this summer and will include 458 residential units once complete.
The developer says those units will be north of Kingsley Roadand not within the historic Base31 district itself.
The Base31 project envisions as many as 7,500 units over the next two to three decades, along with numerous businesses. To put it into perspective, the adjacent Town of Picton is only around 4,500.
Base31 is located at the former CFB Picton military airfield, municipally known as 343 County Road 22 and 204 Kingsley Road."

The brainrot is real people!
Pic of a Faeceplant post by some outfit called Jamil Middleton. Apparently this is being done via "shrimp are being vaccinated"; there's a small army of people with special shrimp sized syringes pulling the wee baby shrimp out of their pens and hittin' 'em with that Moderna.

I'm in ... Canada, and Facebook is showing me this post by an obvs AI generated profile. The amount of money being slopped around by winger billionaires must be inspiring. Not that I have any doubt that good ol' Zuck's in there doing his part by helping to spread this manure as widely as possible.
Post by a fake AI generated profile calling Talarico "Lost in Space" and "going to hell", a trip upon which you'll be joining him should you believe him, according to the fake profile. Has a photo of someone watching the Hannity show on a flat-screen TV, which goes a long way to explaining why this AI profile seems to think that bare assertion with a ring of confidence should be enough to convince anyone to engage in autocoprophagy.

Ironically, there appears to be a large contingent of smooth cortex amygdala cogitans that are completely on board with this practice; they are usually described as middle class white America guys in middle management when they are shown on the media, often being interviewed in diners, which is where they're customarily found because none of those fuckers ever actually work.

Yeah, the American's aren't trying to destablize Canada, no sir. Note well the underlying "we need to make sure we can fuck the indigenous people under our new state or we will not be able to steal their shit" that is the true basis of his complaint about how the effort is being run.
Post by Paul Blanchard with an avatar fusing the US and Canadian flags titled "The Republican Party of Canada". Post reads: "IS THIS WHAT THE SEPARATIST EQUALITY LOOKS LIKE?
This is from the Alberta prosperity project proposed Constitution. They are proposing that you inherit all the problems from the federal government concerning native treaties. You will have equality in the new country of Alberta except when it comes to the native tribes. I encourage you to take the time to read Alberta prosperity project website."

It is accompanied by an edited screenshot from said website that reads:

"The new Constitution of Alberta will recognize that: …
the Indigenous Nations of Alberta will be recognized as co-equal, constitutional partners and participants in the creation and governance of the Sovereign Nation of Alberta

It recognises treaty rights.

1. The Alberta Government recognizes based on the principles that all people are created equal, that they are endowed by natural law with certain inalienable rights, among which are life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness protected by the Constitution of Alberta, and the rule of law
3. … Alberta's First Nations are a Sovereign Nation within the Sovereign Nation of Alberta with one law for all.
That will only be achieved with the support and consent of The Sovereign Indigenous Nations of Alberta and the Metis People of Alberta.
5.2 < recognises UNDRIP >
5.3 That the right of Indigenous ownership of resources in Alberta including mines and minerals is recognized and a meaningful resource revenue sharing mechanism will be constitutionally entrenched.
5.7 That the right of Indigenous Peoples to be free from taxation on their reserves is recognized."

So outside the obvs sops to US style rights, the problem seems to be recognising indigenous ownership of resources and freedom from taxation.
