this is usually either done with a (pretty good!) print, or for the "real" thing, a pen plotter. you can see they even have the software mix and match glyphs so no two letters look exactly alike! there was even a time when your marketing firm could pay for manual 'hand-addressing' as a service.

I have a weird fascination with fake handwriting and other methods to make junk email seem personal and targeted. They're getting pretty good- this is the outside of an envelope with the recipient written "by hand", and a "scrap sheet with sharpie on it" sent "along" with a form letter.

There isn't really a good name for it, but I love the concept of a cockpit with a big, near-seamless display that emulates a window. Great scifi design. Even better when you get to throw some display distortion in there like Titanfall does, or show the 'real' geometry in a bootup.
