Honestly can't decide which of these color schemes I like better. #art #characterdesign

A character made of three white clouds, with the top/largest one having a simple face. The eyes are yellow, with small thunderbolts crackling off that resemble eyelashes.

The character has blue-gloved hands floating beside them. A halo that looks like cirrus clouds floats above her head. The halo is white like the main body, with some light gray outlining it.

You know, I'm still not the biggest fan of Star Fox 2026's character designs, but at least when they took a swing on the new style they committed and stayed internally consistent. Instead of, say, packing Detail into every square inch of key characters while simply HD-ifying everyone else.

Key art of Star Fox (2026), depicting Slippy Toad, Falco Lombardi, Fox McCloud, and Peppy Hare

Screenshot from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (2026), showing Link watching two townspeople dance. Link's design is far more detailed and intricate than the townspeople's.

Is it fun, Kris? Playing around like this… Like we used to?

Tried drawing my little bat-mimiga in the Deltarune style. LOVE how it turned out; can't decide if I like it better with or without the outlines.

Pixel art of an anthropomorphic blue bat clad in a long orange-ish vest. The bat is holding its arms behind its back. The bat's sprite is rendered with a dark-purple outline.

Another Deltarune theory thing

A post from the "paraster" Tumblr blog that reads as follows:

"Earlier today, I watched GuiltyFlygon's "New Hometown Theory" video, and found myself liking the Dark World concept it presents way more interesting than I expected. Said concept: a recreation of Hometown as it was several years ago, formed from Asgore's conspiracy documentation (testimonies, documents, photos, etc.)

The idea is that Asgore is using this Dark World to revisit and investigate Hometown circa-Dess's disappearance, but it could also tie really well into Asgore's inability to move on from the past and desire to return to the "good times" when his family was still together and still close with the Holidays.

I'm imagining a bunch of Darkners looking like off-color or grayscale versions of Hometown residents because they were created from old photos. Whereas Gerson was a perfect recreation of the real one, these Darkners simply embody people at the specific moments the photos captured. The wedding photo would create a happy Toriel who still loves Asgore and a healthy, young Rudy...but there'd be nothing to them beyond that. And if we see a fake Dess, this could be a great way to more directly get a bead on what she was like, even if it's incomplete.

Maybe Asgore's flowers and gardening supplies could take the roles of custodians, preserving this version of Hometown exactly as it is. A perfect embodiment of the past Asgore seeks to return to."

Crackpot Deltarune theory ahoy!

A screenshot of a Tumblr post. It reads:

Okay.

This theory just popped in my head immediately after I woke up one morning.

It has little to no evidence and is probably wrong.

But I needed to get this out of my head, so...

(an image of ERAM/the Shadow Mantle Holder "plus" the Roaring Knight "equals" Dess Holiday)

ERAM = Dess's soul/mind/essence/whatever; Knight = Dess's body.

People have already talked about how ERAM seems intimately familiar with Kris and could be a manifestation of Kris's guilt over things they did in the past. So what if ERAM is literally a part of Dess after what happened with her and Kris that led to her disappearance?

What if the way to "restore Dess" (probably not really back to normal) is to locate ERAM and unite it back with the Knight? What if the Knight is making Dark Worlds to search them for ERAM, which is evading it for...some reason?

(Potential reasons: ERAM's current state has reduced it to basic pieces of Dess's personality; it preserved her rebelliousness and her knowledge of Kris but little else. ERAM is distrusting of Carol and/or angry at Kris for whatever they did/failed to do. Being stuck in the darkness warped ERAM into a chaotic demon (cop-out answer).)

...yeah that's all the real evidence I got lol

I can never take this image of Superman seriously because he looks like someone photoshopped Reggie Fils-Amie's face on him.

A promotional shot of Superman, played by David Corenswet, crossing his arms and looking forward with a small, determined smile on his face. Behind him is a slightly blurred image of the sky.

This new artwork I'm using for my avatar/banner as of my newest video was commissioned from @uselesscalcium.bsky.social ! I'm very happy with how it turned out, so please feel free to check out their work!

A Cave Story-style pixel art portrait of a blue humanoid bat with brown clothing just out of frame. They look mildly confused, frustrated, and/or tired.

An anthropomorphic blue bat clad in a brown shirt with a lighter-brown vest on top stretching down to a little above their feet. Their arms are held behind their back, their wings are curled in a little, and they have a slightly shocked/worried look.

A cavern of dark blue stone. The floor is covered in grass with some orange, yellow, and blue flowers scattered throughout. A few beams of light shine through the cave ceiling onto the floor.

I wasn't sure if I'd keep my little bat-mimiga avatar thing after the Cave Story video, but then I made this "scared" sprite and I think they're here to stay.

Sprite art based on the artstyle of the game Cave Story. A blue humanoid bat is hunched over in a room with wide eyes, clearly scared of something.
