I'm a sysadmin for a medium-sized library system, as well as a retrocomputer/retrogaming enthusiast. In addition to a fair amount of original retro hardware, I also do a lot with SBCs, microcontrollers, and FPGAs.

The only other actual Atari machine I have out at the moment is my Atari Mega ST2. I also have an 800XL in storage.

Spent some time last night and today, and got Amigavision / MegaAGS working on the Annbernic RG406V under Daijisho and on the Steamdeck under Emudeck / ES-DE. In both cases I set up a second Amiga entry called A1200 that's completely separate from the default floppy-based Amiga profiles...

I finally got mine set up. I'm pretty pleased with it. i'm finding the emulation really good, and the wireless controllers feel a little better than my originals..though my originals are over 40 years old and well used, so that's probably a factor too. There's not much discernible lag either.

I also subscribe to a service called Schedules Direct that Jellyfin uses to generate and keep track of the over-the-air TV schedules, and allows recording. That subscription is relatively cheap..like $35 a year, I think.

Since I finally wore the Pebble out, I've been using this PineTime (from the same people that made the Pinebook/Pinephone, etc.). Not near as powerful as the Pebble was, but it does basic smart watch stuff pretty well and cost me $35 new. It fills the gap for now.

I used my original Pebble Time Steel until it literally fell apart about a year and a half ago. These pics are from 2020...

When you call the BBS and that thread about the Olympics has been going on way too long, sometimes you can abruptly end it by stating a long-held, possibly unpopular opinion on something completely unrelated...

Reminds me of another thing from long before AI (or digital computers, for that matter).
A frantic scene from the early 1900s showing electricity killing people and causing general mayhem.

I have retained this ticket stub as requested. The theater though..not so much. It's been gone for a very long time.

Ah..Smartmedia. I still have several devices around that use it. One I have at hand is my original Fuji MX-1200. I bought this particular one in late January of 2000 at the nearby Walmart.I remember the date well, because it was my daughters 7th birthday and I bought it to take pictures on that day.

I was able to get Syncterm to compile on it and take it BBSing. Compiling Syncterm was actually pretty easy. Figuring out the combination of qualifiers I had to launch it with to get it to work on the weird screen resolution was a lot harder. But I eventually figured it out.

My score on the Intellivision version last night. I don't remember if there's parity between the scoring on the different versions, but it seems like they are pretty much the same that way.

It worked..sort of. I got a lot of games installed on the SSD.They all show up and work fine, but only if I have the memory card version of Freemcboot in one of the card slots. If I don't, it starts to boot from the SSD, briefly shows the mcboot logo. then, nothing until it eventually shows browser.
