little creatura, something simple #art ✧ #dragon ✧ #painting

Small painting made with acrylic markers. There is black dragon in the middle with white details. The dragon is very simple and stylized, standing there and breathing fire. Next to it there are two other fires. There are red frames around the animal, having black yellow and white details.

“They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.” ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

Doggust Day 5: Danish-Swedish farm-dog. 🍎 #doggust #doggust2025

A painting looking down at a small white dog with floppy black ears and spots, and brown around the sides of their snout. In the foreground are leafy apple tree branches. The dog is wearing an orange bandana around their neck, standing next to a basket of red apples, as though they're collecting them. Probably to make apple cider with later.

Day 6: Danish-Swedish farm-dog. I had two ideas so decided to just do both. ☕ #doggust #doggust2025

A little white dog with floppy black ears and spots, and brown around the sides of their snout sits at at an apple cider stand. It's surrounded by muted autumn foliage, a pumpkin, and a sandwich board that says Fresh Cider with an apple drawn below. The stand is wooden, with some lights hanging from the awning. There are apples stacked behind the dog, some mugs to their left, and a big dispenser for cider. There's a little wooden stool for patrons too.

Sunset on Friday 18th December 1908. I have cleaned-up this astounding autochrome photograph of twilight 117 years ago, taken in colour by Julien Gérardin. It is an original colour plate, not colourised.

A wee respite.

Small, tall bouquet of pink and purple flowers in a small, bulbous vase made of stoneware. The flowers stand tall in the short vase due the vase’s very narrow top.

Our local history museum has this painting of "Tinkle" in their collection but I have NEVER seen it on display. Always in storage. They open for the season May 9th and we're very anxious to see if it's out this year. Unknown artist, 1883. shelburnemuseum.org/online-exhib...

Folk art style oil pinging of a shorthaired white cat with yellow eyes and a red collar with two gold bells on it. It is sitting up on a red cushion or ottoman and the background is black.

Someone once said NextDoor is the social network for dogs if they could type. It’s always “what’s that noise?” and “who’s that stranger?” which is exactly what I imagine my dogs would text other neighborhood dogs.

I listened to an interesting Megan Foster podcast this morning on training/competing for clean/clear rounds. It's short and full of good information! A few things that resonated with me: - Learn to get gratification from the process rather than the immediate results. buff.ly/4hSaeyp
