I have not made comics of any sort, but this idea came to me and I was like, I feel the urge to draw it out.
4 panel comic - woman in green hat with pink ribbon says to a child, "I just don't think that Darth Vader guy is a savory character..." then the kid asks, "Who is a savory character???" then the woman thinks for a panel, and finally she says, "Him" while standing behind her the Hamburger Helper mascot has appeared.

My mom is trying to pitch me on Matlock's grandson on the CBS Matlock reboot as the actor to play Steven Universe if there were to be a live action Steven Universe remake. And like, she's pitching HARD like I somehow would want a live action Steven Universe to be a thing and could make it happen.

Can't believe Myst tricked me into trying to remember modulus arithmetic, and then made me annoyed with the real solution. (Been trying it for the first time, and have mostly been having fun!)
Gameplay footage of the original Myst. Interior view of a building with a wooden floor. To the left, is a fireplace, to the right, a map, and in front, an open pair of doors leading to a wooded area.

This is probably my favorite love poem I’ve read. Could it be I just really like oranges? For real though, it just beautifully captures how love can change the way you experience the world. Happy Valentine’s Day. I wish you love in your life, in one of the very many forms that love takes.
The Orange

At lunchtime I bought a huge orange—
The size of it made us all laugh.
I peeled it and shared it with Robert and Dave—
They got quarters and I had a half.

And that orange, it made me so happy,
As ordinary things often do
Just lately. The shopping. A walk in the park.
This is peace and contentment. It’s new.

The rest of the day was quite easy.
I did all the jobs on my list
And enjoyed them and had some time over.
I love you. I’m glad I exist.

Wait, who told the composer of the Fields of Mistria title screen music to go so hard? Total classic SNES RPG vibes, I love it!
Fields of Mistria title screen, the title is displayed along with a scene of two cows standing on a hill in a field, farms, and in the distance a forest, windmill, house, and mountains.

23. Onion Delivery Tank controls in a top down driving game aren't my favorite. However, the game has a certain whimsy between the layout of its city and zany scenarios like zombie or alien invasions. And that elevates it considerably #UFO50
Pixel art game in which a car with an onion on top of it makes deliveries. On the left is a UI showing health and direction of delivery point, as well as "Burlett Bakery" the destination.

22. Porgy A cartoony game where you gather items to let your submarine go deeper and deeper, enabling greater exploration. Fun, at least to a point, but other titles did this loop in a way that hooked me better. #UFO50
Yellow orange submarine that looks like a fish navigates around green wide jawed fish. A fuel gauge is in the upper left.

21. Waldorf's Journey Unusually meditative and sometimes unsettling vibes are found in the least likely of places: a platformer where you jump from platform to platform as a Walrus, collecting seashells.

20. Warp Tank A pseudo puzzle platformer where You play as a tank that is glued to whatever wall it is on, but has the ability to teleport to whatever wall it is opposite to. using this mechanic, it weaves deftly between puzzling and action. #UFO50

19. The Big Bell Race In UFO 50's metanarrative, Campanella was a smash hit, and this was then the hastily made racing game version of Campanella to capitalize on its success. Although purposefully so, it feels like a bare bones cash grab. #UFO50
Six UFOs zoom around a small circuit with a few bends in it. there are also various features including wide purple arrows, a circular red emblem, and a scoreboard on the upper left.

18. Golfaria Golfaria is a top down exploration game where you play as a golf ball with limited strokes. As such, there's a tension in its exploration. This is initially frustrating, but really fun once you gain more strokes and it starts to open up. #UFO50
Pixel art game in which a large golf ball sits next to a flag, amidst bushes that spell out UFO. The upper left shows 26/26 strokes remaining, and there is an indicator on the left with a golf ball stopping and a blue "x" next to it. There is also a circle with a star over it in the golfing space.

16. Camouflage This puzzle game where you are a chameleon changing colors to hide from predators sadly only clicked with me slightly more than Block Koala.
A tan colored chameleon walking across tan colored sand. There are brown dirt patches and blue wet patches. Two collectable oranges and a white baby chameleon are placed around, as well as several crabs looking for the chameleon.

15. Block Koala This is a push block puzzle game and by all rights I should be this game's target audience, and yet it's one of the collection's rare misses for me.
A pixel art shrub garden on a grid with a lavender koala standing among 1 tile large blocks, some with numbers from 2-5, some with a dot on them, one with a star. There is also a star tile on the ground. The shrub garden is surrounded by a red wall, and outside is a desert.

13. Mooncat Mooncat has weird controls like Getting Over It or QWOP, but is so much kinder with a smooth difficulty curve and frequent checkpoints. One of my favorites.
In forested atmospheric area, Mooncat, a beige blob on green legs, stands between two spider-like enemies on a leafy platform in a forest. There is a purple creature with a combined mouth and nose standing to the left.

12. Avianos Conquer the land as a bird civilization, taking strength from your dino ancestors. This plays like a board game in the best way possible.

9. Attactics An RTS where your units automatically enter and advance. All you can do is rearrange them in your five second turns. Pure chaos, pure bliss.
Orange and blue medieval soldiers are on a grid, with a castle on each side, 5 flags on each castle. There is a cursor on the green field that the soliders are standing on occupying a tile of the grid.

8. Planet Zoldath A short Zelda-y roguelike with a space theme, Zoldath is too enigmatic and clunky for its own good, but also, maybe that is its charm.
An astronaut figure clad in red stands on the left side of the screen, surrounded by crystal pillars. At the bottom of the screen is the message, "PICKED UP PART OF THE INTERGALACTIC TREASURE MAP." A horned figure, faces away from the camera over to the right, next to a singular crystal pillar. On the right side of the screen, there is a user interface showing the number of materials, life, and number of map parts.

7. Velgress A thrilling action platformer where you constantly ascend, shooting anything in your way. It's brutal, but the quick restart makes it addictive.
Girl with orange hair climbs upwards on platforms consisting of clouds, crates, and dirt. She has nearly reached tier 11 and there is a rotating coin on screen. At the bottom there is a row of spikes, destroying the blocks as she ascends.

6. Mortol In this grim yet clever puzzle platformer where your body becomes a platform when you die, lives are a resource you spend to progress.

5. Magic Garden Snake is probably one of the most basic games you could think of. And yet, Magic Garden's twists and turns add surprising depth and an addictive quality.
Pixel art game in which a girl in purple leads a trail of orange blob creatures with giant eyes. Also on the grid are blue blobs and mushroom creatures, and a potion sitting on one square, as well as a row of star tiles near the bottom.

4. Paint Chase What if Splatoon were an NES game where you were a car leaving a paint trail behind you on a grid? Turns out it would rule!
Blue car with blue paint trail drives on a grid mostly filled with some blue paint. There are red vehicles as well leaving red paint trails behind them, as well as blocks that block their path that can be toggled, speed boost arrows, and pink blocks with arrows on them.

1. Barbuta Clunky movement and bare bones presentation belie the fun that exists in discovering the hidden secrets of this title.
Image of gameplay of the game Barbuta. A knight climbs a ladder near the bottom of the screen. There are several platforms that the knight can reach by ladder, some red cubes, and in the background, a planet and stars. On the sides of the screen are the UI: five eggs on the right with a sixth, cracked egg on the bottom, and on the right, a counter for cash, a player inventory, and a map.
