There are also paid versions like Capture One Pro which I had great fun using a few years ago. The most egregious thing I find about Adobe is people still teaching Adobe Premiere when, for the little use they make of it, I'd feel like it wouldn't be hard for them to switch. But they're stuck there.

If you're looking to use Object Lock on Scaleway Object Storage, you may be interested in leaving a vote for this feature request. It'll make it much much easier to deal with files for which the retention duration is not known at the time of upload. feature-request.scaleway.com/posts/1466/o...

Now curl too has some Rust too. hyper would have been nice in this agents era.

Agent forwarding and having it work with rsync would be quite good to have. Port forwarding is nice, but I usually use Wireguard. scp, that's what I use usually, this is probably the chance to switch to rsync

If you haven't tried it yet, we support RustCrypto, aws-lc and graviola as crypto backends. Also, and I didn't expect to see this, we are the biggest dependent on instant-xml on crates.io 🤯

6 years after releasing rusty-s3, downloads keep growing. Of all of the stuff going on this year, I'm happy to see it continue to be adopted with little effort on my side. Happy that this small little crate is slowly finding it's own niche of users that dislike bloated autogenerated API bindings.

After this "gift", I expect more PRs sent to open source projects. Huge sloppy descriptions, the author using the PR review feature to talk to it's own clanker. 🙄 Maybe I should give Qwen it's own GitHub account so that clankers talk to each other and I don't have to even think about this mess /s

Google's "Painful To Maintain" Binder C Linux Driver Being Removed In Favor Of Rust
Google's Binder driver written in the C programming language has long been part of the mainline kernel as the inter-process communication (IPC) mechanism used on Android. The past few years the Binder driver was rewritten in Rust as one of the first "real" drivers in the Rust programming language. The Rust Binder driver was upstreamed in Linux 6.18 and now for the upcoming Linux 7.4 kernel cycle, the old Binder C-based driver is set to be retired...

lettre and rust-postgres are not fully mine, and it's not up to me to make this decision on my own, but for projects like rusty-s3, libraw-rs, warb and img-parts maybe... I love consolidation.

Migration almost complete. I'm starting to appreciate the GitHub Actions-style CI, despite the flaws, after my years long love-hate relationship with Gitlab CI. The UX in general is amazing and snappy. Maybe I'll move some of my smaller projects to Codeberg, who knows...

I made a computer that shoots people with a gun. The frontier is moving too fast. The government must make it illegal to have this technology unless they pay my friends a bunch of money to investigate when their computer shoots people with a gun.

I decided to mirror the Clickhouse repo because LLMs really like to look at source code from time to time. Couldn't figure out why it was taking more than it took the Linux kernel to mirror. There's some weird shenanigans going on here...
