Some more oil studies and thumbnail sketching. Next project is a proper portrait :) #art #oilpainting

Paolinsky @paolinsky.bsky.social · 05/10/2025

I wanted to share some studies I did during the last two weeks. I'm really enjoying taking some time to actually learn about art history and techniques. Also I found out that O really love painting with oils.

It has been a while!!!! Today I remembered my bluesky password. I've been working on this beautiful bust using oil paints. 💜

It started as a freehand practice and hopefully will end as a cool diorama 🖌️ 🎨 #miniaturepainting

I'm very close to finishing my current #painting project, and I already started working on the next one. No one can stop me 💪 #miniaturepainting Btw these models by @trenchcrusade.bsky.social are amazing, and really easy to print.

Paolinsky @paolinsky.bsky.social · 21/02/2025

A few months ago finished painting this model, but it did not turned out how I would like it to, so I placed on the cabinet of shame... Now that I'm taking the hobby less "seriously" I find I like this model, and it should not be hidden in a dark cabinet. #miniaturepainting #miniatureart

Thanks! It is easier to focus on the whole miniature when you are not worrying about how smooth your last blend was xD

Thanks, it took me a while to understand it :D

Just having fun doing what you like will make you better in the long term, not every step has to be forward to make progress :3

Paolinsky @paolinsky.bsky.social · 18/02/2025

Have'nt painted a single miniature for almost 3 months 😢, and there is a reason for it, I was burnout, I was painting every miniature with the mentality of making it better than the previous one. That is exhausting, now I'm taking my hobby as a hobby, and it is way more enjoyable😊 #miniaturepainting

Recently, we saw a massive surge in sign-ups for #ProtonVPN originating from the U.S. Usually, these sign-up spikes are due to countries with unstable governments facing internet censorship, so this was a real head-scratcher. Turns out it's just porn. 🤷‍♂️

At least 40% of any programming book is just yapping about programming basics. I KNOW HOW TO DECLARE A VARIABLE and I don't need 20 pages just for that.

I don't understand, are people just following random accounts with the intention to call their attention and maybe get a follow back? I've seen accounts that follow more than 33k people, how is that even possible?
